**YES** They have BOTH flipped!!
From electoral-vote.com I know the only poll that counts is November's, but they were awfully accurate in the 2004 election.

The good news; A week ago it was 216 Dems and 219 Repubs in the projected new House and 48 Dems and 52 repubs in the new Senate.

Today it is:

Projected New Senate: 50 Democrats 49 Republicans 1 tie

Projected New House: 218 Democrats 216 Republicans 1 Tie

Keep it up people!

3. I Guess I Care About Mr. Lie a Lot... I Simply Have Too Much
animus for a person who has become such a turn coat and feel he needs a bit of a comeuppance. His arrogance has really struck a negative cord with me... even IF he considers himself a Democrat I have found him to be most distasteful!

His is one race that I want him to lose!!! The other big one on my list is Webb & Mr. Macaca!!

4. We may have to live with Lieberman . . .
And frankly, he's not a lot worse than Landrieu (LA) and Nelson (NE).

8. Lieberman is worse
Look, there will be always be Democrats who, on one issue or another, votes with the Republicans. We can live with that, just as we welcome Republicans who vote with us one a given issue.

Lieberman is worse because he attacks Democrats for disloyalty because they don't share his sycophancy for Bush. He deliberately undercuts Democrats instead of simply arguing that he disagrees and is voting differently.

I will be disappointed if the voters of Connecticut don't do the right thing and return him to the obscurity he has richly earned.

11. Agreed. And furthermore
Landrieu and Nelson live in states that really could be dark red but they are able to get elected because they are not flaming liberal.

Connecticut should be more solidly blue but Lieberman steals the seat as a moderate. If you doubt me on Connecticut, ask yourself who would win between Schlessinger and Lamont.

14. Exactly right
I think we can all realize that dems will have different views of various things but he is worse than some repukes. No way would I trust that he will actually caucus with us if it came down to his being the one to decide which party would chair the committees. They are funding his campaign, he owes them if he wins this not us.

Welcome to DU!

12. Well, I'm Already Living With Bill Nelson In Florida And Will Be Forced
to vote for him in November because of my current Representative Cruella! I can't wait to be rid of her, so if there's even a "possibility" to get rid of more of those like Nelson here and Mr. Lie there... then I'm still supporting Lamont and actually donated money to him AND Webb! And I don't really have money to throw around! And yes, I know the Nelson that was first mentioned isn't the Nelson here, but I don't find that much difference between the two. Nelson of Nebraska just seems more vocal. This Nelson has earned a nick-name from me, kind of an Indian moniker of sorts.... I call him "Finger In The Wind!"

For me Mr. Lie MUST GO!!!!

6. They have the Bush-kisser as an "I"
They also show that the race is between Lamont(D) Schlesinger(R) and Liberman(I). Although Lieberman is up 50% there.

No, I think electoral vote counts Lieberman as a Democrat, just like Sanders. That's why we actually need more than 50...

http://www.electionprediction.us/ counts both as I.

I know what you mean. I meant that in the projected Senate: 50-49 and one tie, Lieberman is counted as a Dem like Sanders while the other site lists them as I.

edit: but maybe I misunderstood the initial question

7. One would assume...
...that since he will caucus with the democrats, he is counted as a democrat for the purposes of this exercise.
