Best MSM Election (computer) Coverage So Far: Lou Dobbs (video)
Edited on Fri Oct-06-06 10:10 AM by Land Shark
This coverage of last weekend's We Count 2006 conference ( www.wecount2006.org ) is the best, in my opinion, so far of any MSM coverage.

It hits the notes of:

1. The problem of secret vote counting and trade secrecy (nearly unmentioned by most MSM)
2. Showing the citizen passion on the issue (with context showing it's reasonable) "What the hell are people in America DOING..."
3. It shows many key figures: Bob Fitrakis, Lynn Landes, Bev Harris, and others.
4. Bashes the power of the voting machine companies.
5. Does not meet "any minimum standard of democracy, and that needs to be said over and over and over again..." Bob Fitrakis
6. Starts with themes "Growing alarm" "nobody doing a thing about it" and "citizens demanding action." Also gives overview of what the situation is nationwide.
7. Concludes with Cuyahoga County's agreement to public monitor of their elections after citizen pressure.

Watch it. It's pretty good. Or even better than that. http://blip.tv/file/82851

PS I attended and spoke at the conference Saturday, but no sharks are pictured in this news coverage. More importantly, Dennis Kucinich's well-received speech on Saturday isn't mentioned so I conclude since I didn't see CNN myself on Saturday that they only attended on Friday, but still did this great report.

5. I don't know how to do that, I imagine it can be done freely or permission
obtained. PM me if you'd like a contact for what I assume the source of the video copy is.

6. saw this thanks k+n
I posted when it was coming on but I'm glad you posted a link!
We have to come up with a PLAN- tempted to advocate no verifiable vote- then JUST sit down but that could be counter-productive.
Ann Wright said she palns to take action if fraud (likely) becomes apparent. I wish there was something we could do ahead of time or during.

that would make ummm. . .er. . .let's see. . .maybe about the 3rd & a third "kudos and congrats" this week. :)

You see, it perhaps wouldn't qualify as a full additional "kudos and congrats" since the initial "kudos and congrats" was for the very same event.

Uht ohhh. . . how pray tell do I factor in references to prior "kudos and congrats" and exemplary "kudos and congrats' and do they actually count ?

hmmmmmm. . .I'm clearly confused.

Aren't you glad I'm not a voting machine?

Oh and this would absolutely be the 3rd yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!

9. He encouraged everyone to register as an Independent.
How is THAT a good thing? If you are registered Independent you can't vote in the primaries. Nice to see Harris showing up to discredit the movement again. Yippee.
