Anyone with experience in musical theatre want to collaborate?
I heard a newer song recently that I was just able to track down on Itunes. First time I heard it gave me the idea that someone should do a semi-remake (reinterpretaion) of the musical "Hair" in all its counterculture and anti-war glory. The song in question is "All the things I've done" by The Killers. It was the refrain "I've got soul but I'm not a soldier" that for some reason made me think of the final scenes of "Hair" when Claude and Berger get switched in boot camp and Berger ends up going to Vietnam and dying instead of Claude who was actually the soldier. Unfortunately I think the song is being used on the soundtrack to the upcoming movie "Southland tales" but it was more the concept that intrigued me. We wouldn't necessarily have to use copyrighted music. Thoughts?

3. Kinda Springsteenish.
This song has the same sound and effect on me that "Born to Run" did 22 years ago.

4. they were on Conan last night
I love these - what to call them -neo glam bands:
Killers, Franz Ferdinand, Scissor Sisters.
All 3 have new albums out. yay woo.

Pastichey without being just derivative.

I was watching the Killers ,trying to pin down who the vox sounded like. At last I got it:
Robert Smith of the Cure.

I love me some new toonz that pull me out of my glum lil I'm sick of all music torpor.

5. Stronger singer than Smith
Very big voice. That's why it got my mind running on a theatrical tangent. I could see a leading man in a play belting this tune.

9. I've always thought the 2004 Dem Presidential Campaign
should be done to ALW/Tim Rice's Jesus Christ Superstar words and music :D

Probably off-Broadway or on YouTube :silly:
