Xtian Conservs. are SHOCKED that there are ANY Gay R.congressmen
I've heard them calling in to cpan and I've been reading their responses on the web, they hate homosexuals with a passion, consider them evil, immoral, deviant, and they never in their wildest nightmares ever thought that there even WAS such a thing as a gay republican congressman. They are currently experiencing the same thing the flat earthers must have felt when they saw the photos from orbit.

Many of them say we should remove all homosexuals from our government because they infect the whole society. Not making that up, they really say shit like that.

Boy oh boy are they in for a shock. I suggest they invest heavily in pharmaceuticals.

They are serving masters who will sacrifice them to try to remain in power.

9. I hate to psychoanalyze…
But if you are a Log Cabin Republican I think you have some serious issues that you need to work through and the sooner the better both for your own well-being and for the well-being of your gay brothers and sisters.

12. This, Sir, Is Why This Scandal Is Of Such Importance, And Has Such Heft
These people, in their simple way, have always imagined Republicans, their champions against the "deviants", contain not a single homosexual in their ranks. They cannot themselves imagine crusaders against deviancy would tolerate any in their ranks, or that any homosexuals would ally themselves with a campaign of hatred against their owen kind. Their faces are now being rubbed, till raw and bloody, i the fact that there aree a number of homosexual Republican politicians, and they find it a tremendously dismaying experience. A number of them are quite likely to throw up thier hands and stay home on election day....

14. The epitomy of hypocrisy - Republicans.
Republicans have, for years, worked hard to get the votes of the Christian Conservatives, knowing that voting block is very valuable. So they've pandered to them, named themselves the "party of family values" and made promises to them about their issues like abortion and the marriage amendment in order to get their votes. Trouble with that is - they aren't sincere and don't practice what they preach.

Did you ever buy something based on really good advertising only to get it home and find out the advertisement was a lie? Kinda makes you angry, doesn't it?

15. The Republicans are oxymorons -
they are the opposite of what they portray themselves as, in every way.

Remember the Dubai Ports scandal? Same thing, you can't be tough on terror and at the same time give the ports away to a foreign govt.

22. A mere hiccup on the path to the Reich
I know for a fact the Republican Nazi Party is going to herd the faithful back into the barn somehow after this, but darned if I can see at this moment how they're going to accomplish it. What gives me dark giggles about all of this is how stupid the GOP truly views the Christian voter base as, which becomes obvious when you see the bored, "sigh"-ing way GOPers toss out regular bones to them, and how transparently lowest-common-denominator and dull-witted those "bones" often are. It's like they're not even trying. They see Christians as even stupider than we see them. It's amusing, in a really dark way, how gullible evangelist Christians are, and how easily controlled they are by any force that wants to use them.

But I guess you have to be gullible to believe a guy returned from the dead, and that because he did this, if you recite his name like a magic shibboleth, you get to go to a pink, lovely place full of clouds when you die and no blacks, gays or Jews will be there.

America's Taliban = fundamentalist Christians
America's Islam = fundamentalist Christianity
America's imams = the religious right and Moral Majority
America's Koran = the fundamentalist Bible
Suicide bombings = "God hates fags", abortion clinic bombings
Declaring a fatwa = right-wing's media smear machine

So where do I get to sign up to fight the real war on terror? :D
Point out the recruiting office! I'm there in a heartbeat.
Let's fight The Real War on Terror

24. This exposes the divide between the fundies and the neocons.
The fundies do indeed hate gays.

The neocons couldn't care less - just one more emotion to exploit - so they keep gays on staff.

What happens when the fundy foot soldiers realize how different they are from their elite "leaders"?

25. is it ok to exploit their irrational fears / phobias? YES!
Edited on Fri Oct-06-06 04:21 PM by Truth Hurts A Lot
If we were to point by point show them that Republicans are not "protecting" them from their irrational fear of illegal immigrants, gays, premarital sex, minorities, etc., the Republican party (as we know it) would be destroyed. It wouldn't be jumping on the hate train, it would be more or less exposing Republican hypocrisy so that the people who vote based on hate will just stay their asses home and let the people who actually want to make America a better place vote.
