Why Don't Conserv Fundies Condemn Repubs Who Covered Up Foley?
They are so moral, so family-centric, so committed to driving out those who would harm the children.

So Where is the condemnation of the Repub House Leaders who covered up Foley's predatory acts?

Where is the James Dobson Focus On THe Family Weighing In On THis Issue So Vital To THe Protection Of The Family? Eerily Silent. Hmmmm ....

What are their followers to make of this?

Dobson and others just finished their Family Values Politician(Repub) Endorsement Rally last week. Why are they tongue-tied on this issue? Do they not have a position?

Hypocrisy, and the Abomination of having sold their souls to the Republicans no matter what atrocities are unearthed.

Their silence speaks volumes about their true agenda.

4. Perhaps they'd make some bullshit argument like
Edited on Fri Oct-06-06 10:36 AM by Orrex
"The GOP leadership always acts in the best and most moral interests of the country. If that required them to overlook the failings of one of their fellow Republicans lawmakers in order to achieve greater security and prosperity for the American people, then that is the price that needed to be paid."

It's a crock of shit, of course, but I can see them mounting some argument along those lines.

5. A few are condemning them -
urging the fundies to stay home and not vote. I can't tell you specifically who I saw on TV but make no doubt about it, the fundies are pissed.

8. That, to me, is almost as bad.
Rather than voting for the opposition, simply for the sake of getting the corrupt out of office, they're just staying home. They don't want to vote for the bad guys, but they're content with leaving them a chance to stay in power.

10. Not bad really.
Of course they won't vote for Dems; we're sinners and all that. If they stay home though, we benefit from it. It's kinda ironic - Democrats don't pretend to be something we're not - but Republicans do. They're gonna suffer huge repurcussions from using the fundies.

6. They are exploiting the issue to advance their anti-gay agenda
Spinning it about homosexuals instead of pedophiles.

At least that's what I gathered. Tony Perkins maybe? They're all the same to me.
