O'Reilly's exec producer re: Foley Dem label: "It was an honest mistake"

http://www.editorandpublisher.com/eandp/news/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1003221594

<snip>

Once it came to our attention, we removed the incorrect chyron immediately," said David Tabacoff, executive producer of the Fox News Channel show hosted by Bill O'Reilly, who also does a newspaper column distributed by Creators Syndicate. "We didn't run a correction per se."

Foley was mislabeled on O'Reilly's Tuesday show. When the program was rebroadcast, the Democrat label was scrubbed but not replaced with a Republican one.

...

Tabacoff told E&P late Thursday that "everyone knows" Foley -- who resigned his House seat after revelations that he sent sexually charged messages to teen Congressional pages -- is a Republican. So "The O'Reilly Factor," he said, didn't feel it was necessary to run a specific on-air correction on its Wednesday show. But Tabacoff emphasized that when Foley was pictured on "The O'Reilly Factor" after Tuesday, he was correctly identified as a Republican.

"It was an honest mistake," Tabacoff said of the Tuesday mislabeling.

The 39% of Bushbots who STILL think Saddam had WMDs - would have no trouble believing Foley is a democrat - if Fox says so.

22. If EVERYONE knows Foley is a Repub, how could Fox have erred?
!!Cognitive Dissonance Alert!!

"Tabacoff told E&P late Thursday that "everyone knows" Foley -- who resigned his House seat after revelations that he sent sexually charged messages to teen Congressional pages -- is a Republican."

If everyone knows he's a Repub, the error could not have occurred. It would have been caught before it aired because "EVERYONE KNOWS FOLEY IS A REPUBLICAN."

These guys lie like the rest of us breathe.

'everybody knows republicans are the moral people in DC; it's only democrats who engage in sex and stuff and support homosexuality. .... why he probably IS a democrat, a sleeper planted years ago in the great, moral republican party to hurt us when the time is right.'
