Our children are being murdered in our schools by sociopath pedophiles who can buy arsenals as easily as they buy milk, and today the NRA is telling us in editorials that it is the fault of liberals who made schools "gun free zones." If only the Amish teachers had been packing heavy firepower, those little girls would still be alive. Next week, your President's Agenda will include labeling the Amish school children murders as "Terra", which will mean spending federal money arming teachers and installing gun detectors and conducting illegal searches of students and restricting the internet--none of which would have saved those students, none of which would have addressed the psychological problems of the murderer. Your President's Agenda does not include taking time out from his busy schedule of Democrat bashing and lie telling to go visit the Amish to give his condolence, for fear that some grieving family member might ask him to promise to sponsor gun control legislation---and his Agenda does not include that.
Our families are self destructing, fathers and mothers killing each other and their own children, like the father of the African immigrant family who killed all four of his children and wounded his wife in their housing complex apartment earlier today. Meanwhile, your President's Agenda is all about tax cuts for the wealthy and taxing the poor and middle class through sale taxes and other taxes that the hit those with less money especially hard. His Agenda is about cutting education programs for the poor, ignoring the health needs of poor children including their psychological needs which are left to the criminal justice system and denying young people sex education and birth control to prevent unwanted teen aged pregnancy--one cause of poverty. Does he know that when income disparity between a society's rich and poor rises, that society's rates of homicide, domestic violence, depression, drug abuse and alcohol addiction also rise? Does he care?
The people in other countries are having an even worse time. Imagine living in Iraq, without air conditioning, electricity, clean water. Imagine wondering if today is the day you will be blown to bits as you walk home. Then imagine being told that this nightmare will go on forever. It is only a "comma" mind you, but it will never end. Those people in Lebanon were so lucky. Welcome to the Bush Agenda.
Or, you could live in Darfur and have the three strikes you are out misfortune of being an agriculturalist, an African (as opposed to an Arab), and a Sufi muslim, all of which marks you for death. The Bush Agenda is to nurture the most virulent, crazed form of Islam in order to feed his Terra Myth, so there is no way he is going to bat for any sane, moderate Sufis (who have already been driven to extinction in the middle east). Nor will he raise a finger for Black people. He would not do it for the Blacks in NOLA and they get to vote. So, villages are destroyed and women and children are raped and slaughtered or rounded up to be sold as slaves in the muslim world. Looks like Dixie finally dun' rose again, only in Saudi Arabia. No wonder the Bush family works for the Saudi Royal family.
Those of us who are left alive are expected to cower in fear upon cue every time Acting White House Counsel Al Gonzales uncovers another Terra plot to blow up a shoe or a bottle of nail polish. If we don't tremble or (heaven forbid) we openly advise others not to tremble, we are accused of aiding the Terra-ists and told that we can now be stripped of our Constitutional Rights and tossed into a secret prison on secret charges thanks to the GOP faux mavericks McCain, Graham and Spectre. Now that is enough to make even sensible people scared.
This is the President's Agenda. Turn 95% of us into quivering, quaking, paranoid, gutless Stepford Citizens that the Founders---Samuel Adams, Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Paine---would be ashamed to call their descendants. The Bush Agenda will not be complete until we are all glued to our TV sets, watching Fox News, clutching our guns, emergency supplies safely stored in a water tight container that we bought at Wal-Mart. Puffing on cigarettes, since we know that we are going to die young anyway, in the coming Armageddon, and would you pass the bottle? It numbs the pain, and Grover Norquist is a lobbyist for Bacardi. Good thing they dropped the price of gas a nickel. Maybe we can drive our SUV to a national park if there is no Terra alert in Montana next week...
