Two Marines Killed in Western Iraq

CAMP FALLUJAH, Iraq – Two Marines assigned to Regimental Combat Team 7 died Oct. 4 from enemy action while operating in Al Anbar Province.
The names of the deceased are being withheld pending notification of next of kin and release by the Department of Defense.

U.S. soldiers killed in Afghan clash
KABUL (Reuters) Oct. 4 - Two U.S. soldiers and an Afghan soldier were killed and three American soldiers were wounded in a clash in the eastern Afghan province of Kunar, Afghanistan's U.S.-led coalition force said on Tuesday.

"The soldiers were operating as part of a combat patrol that made contact with enemy extremists," the U.S. military said of the late-Monday clash in the province's Pech district.

"Up came Ted without any legs
