Michelle Malkin Vs.Youtube/Olbermann
Edited on Fri Oct-06-06 05:30 PM by nam78_two
Don't know if this has been posted here before..if so apologies...

Big news: Fox News firecracker Michelle Malkin has taken aim at YouTube. Censorship! To present her j’accuse, she uses the only form anyone understands these days: a video on YouTube.
Malkin believes that the Video Vatican in San Mateo is snubbing her crusading right-wing uploads without coherent cause. Naturally, she’s sure it’s because the dopey liberal theocracy — hey, don’t be so mean to terrorists — has afflicted even the new new media. Which, come to think of it, wasn’t supposed to be media at all. YouTube is just an easy-like-Sunday-morning site for video-sharing and caring, right?

In your dreams, says Malkin. Don’t be fooled. YouTube, she believes, are liberal tyrants in groovy grassroots clothing, and like all know-nothing peaceniks they don’t like to see anyone harsh on the jihadi’s buzz. According to her hawkish cohort, in fact, it’s time to shut them down, beginning with trying to get Keith Olberman blackballed.

Ka-pow. (And is it out and out war?)

This is particularly absurd coming from this vociferous and obnoxious shill for the "ownership society". Isn't Youtube privately owned? That means they have the right to put whatever they want on their site and they can "censor" what they want to censor...it doesn't have to be "fair" to Malkin and other creatures of the night like her.

Coming from someone who believes that basic civil rights should be withheld from people arbitrarily, its certainly something that she whines about Youtube not posting her garbage.....

Awww poor baby...How does this square with her own idiotic beliefs....?
I guess its only ok to censor and stifle other people...

1. It May Be Copyright Infringement
I have several of my songvids up on YouTube (search for KOBATV). They removed one of them at the request of Paramount because it was considered to be copyright infringement. So, I'm wondering what the b*tch put up there, and if it was considered to be copyright infringement.

I can't play videos from my workplace
But from some comments I saw about it, it looks like her usual lunatic blathering that was censured...
nothing to do with copyright infringement

3. Like most right wingers
She's just nuts. Her double standards are showing, but she remains intentionally blind to it. That's why her and other shills like Hannity and Colter, who take themselves so seriously, are so damn funny to watch implode.

Great post. :toast:

5. I can't believe the NYT still can't spell Olbermann's last name. Sheesh.
Anyway, I think this is hilarious. Michelle's knickers are in a knot because Keith's comments are so popular and are being emailed to so many people. You know that's what it is, don't you?

Think about it. For years now, the right wing has been able to comfort itself that if Keith said anything that rubbed them the wrong way, at least not too many people saw it, maybe 300,000 at most. They knew anything on MSNBC got fairly low ratings. So they didn't feel too worried. Except they got a bit annoyed that MSNBC wouldn't just cancel his show.'

Now come the "Special Comments." Each is somewhere between 8 and 12 minutes long. Perfect for a nice watch on YouTube. Each one is being watched by someone who chose to listen to what it had to say, to if nothing else give it a chance. To pay it close attention. And they're scoring tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands of views! I think the 9/11 comment alone scored 300,000 views (whether on MSNBC or YouTube I don't know). Add that to the ratings the actual Countdown show gets in terms of people who watch or record it, and you're looking at a serious number of people paying attention to what Keith Olbermann is saying. Not as many as the network news, no, but O'Reillyesque numbers.

And that's scary to people like Malkin. Because it means they're starting to lose hearts and minds.

They can't stand that. So they try to catapult their own propaganda--only to have it rejected.

Do they react like the good little capitalists they are? Do they say that hey, it's a business, businesses should be able to reject what they please? Nope. They cry censorship.

Aww. Too bad.
