I am sadly disappointed in what we are today calling protest, compared to the protest of the 60's our current day excuse for a protest is pathetic. Apathy was something the founders warned us about.

2. Even Joe S. expressed his admiration for Lennon

I remember all the shit Nixon Agnew and Mitchell tried to drop on Lennon, and I also remember fat bloated druggie Elvis Presley ratting out the Beatles to Nixon and gettin a badge as an "Honorary Federal Narcotics Agent" in perhaps the greatest irony of all time.

... how would the right wing machine smear Lennon today? How would they ridicule him? How would they paint him as some sort of lunatic?

Answer? They wouldn't, because if they tried to, Lennon would fight back, because back then, Democrats had balls.

was in fact that of a crazed fan. With things being what they are today I seriously wonder.
