So if the GOP goes down in flames on November 7th...
will they stubbornly stand by the chimp or will they finally realize that he has been Captain of this Titanic all along?

1. Not the captain
The figurehead, perhaps. Maybe the purser rearranging deck chairs. But certainly not the captain.

2. They'll rush to complete the RW agenda by January.
It's hard to imagine how much damage they might do if they are motivated to move quickly.

3. Just like they did to Reagan.
Oh, wait, they renamed half the country after RR, and even tried to put him on Mount Rushmore. My guess is, they'll be petitioning the Pope to have Chimpy named a saint, and a new religion will be born.

.

13. Ya gotta be dead to be canonized a saint.
I am not advocating, encouraging, suggesting
or trying to provoke ANYTHING here.

I'm just sayin'...
and usually you have stand in line and work miracles for five years after dying before you can be considered...

They're trying to bend the rules on this one for John Paul II...
pisses me off...Mother Teresa should have had her Saintship by now.

14. Some of my catholic friends were saying...
John Paul would be a saint before he even died, so the propaganda was heavy within the church early on for him.

5. They'll try to pass some laws -
1) Exempting Team Bush from any criminal prosecution.

2) Pass a law to allow Rupert Murdoch to control all the media in our country.

3) pass more corporate & fat cat welfare tax breaks.

18. Yup, Scooter Libby, Jack Abramoff, Bob Ney
Michael Scanlon, Duke Cunningham, Tom DeLay, etc, etc.

They'll justify it all by saying they were victims of partisan prosecutors.

7. They're already abandoning him
Monkey Boy is conspicuously missing from campaign commercials. And I noticed this morning that all Rendell had to say about Swann in his ad was "Supports George Bush."

Ben Cardin, the Democratic candidate has a TV ad featuring Michael Steele the GOP candidate and George Bush shaking hands and slapping backs inside a big heart!

9. It ain't just the chimp
Pretty much every elected Repuke is a scumbag. The real conservatives will be able to take their party back, but only if this pack of goons is thorougly drubbed. Just changing the guy at the top of the ticket isn't going to change the essence of the fascism that now dominates the GOP.

10. I've been tinfoiling about that lately...
I wonder if the conservatives have decided that they can work with the Democrats a lot easier than the neocons?

17. Not yet, I TIVO'ed it...
although, I don't know if I'll be able to stand to look at Felix's stupid grinny mug that long. He's dumb as a rock.

I read the highlights in the WAPO, and it sounds like Webb did well.
