Mislabeling Of Candidates Goes From FOX News To Absentee Ballots
Fox News is not the only one mis-labeling Candidates
by franziskaner
Tue Oct 10, 2006

.....................

The mislabeling of candidates has gone from Faux News to our ABSENTEE BALLOTS. Is this the new strategy for Republicans to hold on to power?

According to Newsnet5, 5,100 absentte ballots in the Cleveland area had to be reprinted because of errors on the ballots. What were those errors? Please see below the fold!!!!!

The review was prompted by last week's discovery that 1,500 ballots in Ohio's 7th House District race listed the wrong party affiliations for the candidates.

2. Here we go again?
From the article:
If a person already mailed back their ballot, that ballot will be set aside and the new ballot will be the one that is counted.
If no new ballot is received, the board will decide on an individual basis whether the initial ballot will be counted.

some questions:

Did both parties get to see the ballots?
Were the new ballots reviewed by both parties?
Who determines if they will count the (above mentioned article I included in my post) ballot that was set aside?

I smell something fishy all the way down here in Texas.....

This is only the beginning.

7. What gets me is that this is so obviously deliberate...
There is no statistical way that these events could be accidental.

Someday someone should write a book about all of these 'miracles'.

Things won't change until voting is taken seriously, administrators are held
accountable, and stiff penalties are in place for misdeeds.

You mean you never made a mistake in your life...
That would be statistically impossible...

Look, the people who work at the board probably made the mistake...

No one did this on purpose...

There is one D standing next to one R when the ballots are proofed...

They made a mistake...

Well they need to fire Vu....

He is obviously incompetent...

8. Just like we've always said, they will try anything to suppress the vote.
I suggest that everyone familiarize themselves with the exact names of candidates right down to dogcatcher. I wouldn't put it past them next to have vapor not paper machines have the candidates listed with the wrong party.

10. This has to be deliberate
Nationwide, Repukes are taking their party affiliation off their literature, TV ads, billboards, posters, etc. They're trying to confuse voters. This sounds like another attempt.

19. I firmly believe it was an error....
Cuyahoga County has 16 Ohio House Districts, parts of 5 Senate Seats and four US House seats...

People do make mistakes...

It's a good thing they caught it...

They should reproof every ballot...

22. There is a Board of Elections that handles elections....
There are two Dem's and two R's on the board...

There are about the same amount of D's working at the board as there are R's...

The people who were suppose to proof the ballots obviously made a mistake...

17. As shocking as this is
I will always allow at least some benefit of the doubt to human stupidity.

It could be a mistake.

The question is, who makes up the board that judges voter intention where the new ballots are not returned and only the erroneous ballots were mailed in.

stupid! I guess all the stupid ones work for the Gov't!!!!

How in the hell can someone who works with these candidates all the damn time screw up their Party affiliation?????????

especially for the down ticket candidates, would have voted for the wrong one?

27. I have to admit, a while ago, when I didn't pay as much attention
to politics as I do now, I didn't know a lot of the names on the down ballot. If I didn'tknow either candidate, I just voted for the Dem. I'm sure Ohio has a lot of folks like that too. Every place does!
