What, really, is a "drive-by" shooter? It is one who picks an especially cowardly way to commit murder: he is in a car, usually in the darkness of night; he is whisked (driven) past the victim, and fires from inside the car. He cannot be seen clearly by any pedestrian witnesses.

Rush Limbaugh yammers on and on and on with his BOUGHT-AND-PAID-FOR talking points, for 3 hours every weekday. He does not allow dissenting callers to get more than a few seconds in on his show. He has a well-paid call screener who protects him, just as the darkness protects the drive-by shooter. Rush Limbaugh never interviews anyone who disagrees with him. (In other words, Rush always stays in the car.) His few so-called "interviews" are always with politicians who happen to need a quick platform from which they cannot be asked inconvenient questions. Note that Baby Huey Hastert picked Limbaugh's show as one of his places where he put out his (amazingly bad) spin on the Foley debacle and his own role in it.

Rush Limbaugh is absolutely the perfect embodiment of "drive-by media".
