Concerning the torture law.......
After watching Turley on KO, I went into a non-political chat room to see if there was any reaction to todays news. It was a completely depressing experience, to say the least. I was already down, but much, much worse in just a few moments.

I was asked(in the room) why I was so quiet tonite.

Answer: I am sad for America.
Question: Why, I havent seen the news.
Answer: I am saddened because it is now legal in American to torture anyone.
No more questions.......only jokes about torture. Lots and lots of jokes.
I could only stand a few minutes of this and said goodnite to the room.

Folks, this is middle america. Dentists, truck drivers, office assistants,
managers etc. They dont give a shit. It's all a joke. It will never happen to them, so why worry.

I am so worried about our America, my good friends. I have come to realize that we are the exception here in DU. If AMERICA is to be saved, and honestly, I'm not convinced it will be, it will be US who save it.

1. Land of the free. Home of the brave

Not brave up enough to stand up to defend the Constitution.

And free only at the whim of George Walker Bush, who now holds the unchallenged power of life and death over each and every one of us.

Pathetic.

4. don't be silent
silence is acknowledgement of defeat.

It's time we all made it an issue.
