Sara Evans amends divorce complaint: family values GOP hubby stole $$
Edited on Wed Oct-18-06 04:24 AM by Bluebear
Country singer Sara Evans filed an amended divorce complaint this afternoon in Williamson County that alleges husband Craig Schelske transferred $274,000 from their joint accounts -including $66,500 that had been designated by the couple for church tithing - to an Oregon bank account held in his name only.

Evans’ attorneys allege the transfer occurred without her knowledge on Thursday, the same day she filed for divorce in chancery court and a restraining order was granted that prevented such actions.

He took $207,500 out of a joint checking account and a business account,” said John Hollins Jr., who represents Evans with his father, John Hollins Sr. “Those funds were put in the parties’ joint tithing account that already had $66,500 in it. Then he liquidated the entire account of $274,000 and transferred it to a US Bank account in Portland in his sole name. This was their tithing account, set up just for church tithes, and he knew that.”

Evans’ original divorce complaint accused Schelske of committing adultery with the children’s former nanny, verbally abusing Evans and frequently watching pornography in their home. It claimed that Schelske had photos of himself having sex with other women, as well as 100 nude photos of himself. In addition, Evans claimed in the filing that he frequently threatened her, “told her she is crazy,” and told her he would take the children to Oregon....

Schelske served as a steering committee member in 2004 for the re-election campaign of President Bush. "Like him I will extol our values, provide vision, encourage unity, and strengthen our resolve to protect our nation and freedoms," Schelske said in comments included on a Web site supporting his Oregon campaign. He lost by a 2-1 margin.

"Family is my highest priority," he said on the Web site. "That's why I'll protect the rights of our unborn children."

And of course, she supported the loser. Tres Republican.

1. I'm starting to feel sorry for her.
Most people marry someone they think they can trust. When they find out they can't, it wipes out a large part of the base that they tried to build their life on. People tend to rethink their life and values at times like this. Who knows, she may find a kinder, gentler Sara at the end of the process.

2. She is definitely damaged goods right now.
As much as I detested the Tom DeLay "vote for Sara" campaign, she's got to be reeling now. With his "resume" I am not shocked in the least that any of this happened.

13. I don't feel one bit sorry for her.
She's against divorce, of course unless she wants one.

I just went to his "American Destiny" website (http://www.americandestiny.com/our_team.htm), where he is still listed as executive director no less, and sent them this article, along with the question, "Why on EARTH is this animal still on your website?". Will let you know if I hear back!
Think he got his paws on any of "Destiny"'s cash??
Unbelievable!

12. Umm, it means this great country given to us by God after we ripped
it off from it's real inhabitants via the Sand Creek Massacre and Wounded Knee has forgotten how blessed it is, and now we have to remember how blessed we are by having sex on the internets and stealing tithing money from both our wives and our beloved churches?
Close?

4. She's not very smart for a conservative. She should have froze
their bank accounts.

5. Agreed and Well Said.
You know, when it's all said and done - Divorces really are just about the Money. Why would this one be any different! Isn't she smart enough to have an attorney to tell her that you grab the $$'s first?

6. Wait, wait, wait...
This is about a country singer going through a divorce. These money figures don't make sense. Shouldn't there be something in the news about one spouse taking the truck, the other the dog, and then they're fighting over the double-wide?

7. Lol. 100 nude photos of himself
This guy is one fucked up fundie. Hell, I don't even think I have a picture of myself with no shirt on.

I'm sorry, I have very little compassion for his wife either. If she is really that stupid and naive, then oh well.

9. Local (if you can call Canton local for a Cuyahoga County residence)
Bush fellater was going on this morning about the "accusations" by Sarah about "infidelity" ... guess he got his talking points which said "this is an attack on a Republican fund-raiser" ...

The radio DJ was conveniently avoiding any mention of the husband's name, the party affiliation, and the fact that Tom DeLay had endorsed Sarah ...

So, when I heard this morning on the Bill Press show about how this guy had actually posted pics (on his web site) of him having sex with other women, I wanted to know how valid this was ... and I wanted to smack this asshat down for being suck a suckass for the "party of morality" ...

10. Sara Evans is a Freeper, so trying to act like she's not a Repub
is about the dumbest thing that DJ/caller could do. She's never been quiet about her political leanings, either.

I feel kinda sorry for her, but I also believe in" "You reap what you sow." Her intolerance and judgments toward others have come back with a vengeance.
