I am NOT going to answer the latest Zogby Poll!!!!!
In my opinion, the questions on public education and charter schools are a grossly biased push-poll sponsored by a right-wing, anti-education "faith-based" special interest.

I usually have the greatest respect for Zogby and their polling, but their participation in this poll has sullied their image in my eyes.

I sent them an email to that effect, explaining myself in no uncertain terms.

I'm not going to post any of the questions here online, because I don't want to give them any reason to dump me from the survey pool for violating any kind of confidentiality clause in the user agreement.

I am not going to complete the latest Zogby poll. If you're on the Zogby list, you should consider either sitting this one out, or complaining about it as well.

1. Zogby dropped me a couple of months ago.
I was getting messages from them to take polls constantly, then all of a sudden they stopped.
I assumed they no longer felt that my contribution gave them the results they wanted.

2. Where you go... I go.
I guess I won't be doing Zogby.

My thought though, could this be an attempt by someone to skew a pre-election Zogby
poll?

3. Ditto. And do you remember the one that tied our actions
in the ME to enegy policy?

It boiled down to: "If we don't fill our tanks with gasoline and only gasoline, those A-Rabs win."

It was disgusting and I emailed them on that one, too.

5. Been sitting most of them out, myself. And that's why I don't give
them much credibility. Not a very random sampling at all if they continually slant questions and people can either get revved up cuz they agree with the slant or turned off enough to not participate.

Not worth being used as toilet paper. No more accurate than the newspaper polls. Just noise.

6. I haven't hear from them for awhile, either . . .
Maybe they think you go stale after being polled too many times.

The form of the polls never changed a lot, and I never got what I considered skewed questions. I wonder if someone commissioned a poll from them.

8. Charter Schools
The reason this administration is pushing charter schools is to try to undermine the education system in this country and make schools a private run organization. Just one more thing bush is trying to destroy. Instead of studying the reason students perform poorly, putting the money where it is needed bush is pushing that "no child left behind" which school say doesn't work. They say that instead of teaching children the whole spectrum of education they are forced to teach just the basics that bush required in the program. Which his brother Neal is selling to the schools thru CD's. Just another example of his family profiting from his stealing of the presidency. As some one said before..old Prescott Bush would sure be proud of this grandson..

I agree and I also e-mailed them as to why I would not be participating in this survey. Thanks for the heads up.

10. Someone is feeling out for new campaign hot buttons.
I participated, and my answers were consistantly supportive of public K-12 education.

And yes, I own firearms.

14. Unfortunately the Pew-36 Explosive Space Modulator
is no longer available for purchase by the general public. Please write ACME industries to express your displeasure.

You may borrow mine if you wish, but it's relatively inefective against rabbits.

15. Good.
Then my views on Charter schools, which are shaped by actually having a child in one, will have more weight.

Thanks!

16. I support charter schools, homeschool and a host of educational choice.
That said, I strongly support a solid public education system that is well funded.

19. Charter Schools are Part of the Public Education System
I think a lot of people are confusing them with private schools funded by vouchers.

Vouchers bad. Charter schools good.

18. Not long after a make a statement that I no longer get Zogby request
I get one for the very poll you are talking about.
I thought I would see what some of the questions were.

That is the most slanted poll I have ever seen, 90% of the questions did not have an option for what I feel about public school or health.

I will most likely complain to them about their obviously biased poll.

20. What is Wrong with Charter Schools?
Charter schools are publicly-funded. They are not "faith-based".

Are you confusing charter schools with private schools paid for by vouchers?

Charter schools good. Vouchers bad.

21. Nada
I think you've hit the nail on the head. People don't understand the difference, and have a knee jerk reaction against them.

Charter schools ARE public schools. They do NOT receive as much funding as their standard public school counterparts receive. They DO need to meet all of the same standards as other public schools.

Here is a starting point for learning more: http://www.uscharterschools.org/pub/uscs_docs/index.htm
