BREAKING, CNN! THREATS TO NFL STADIUMS!
Edited on Wed Oct-18-06 02:38 PM by Bluebear
:eyes:

Homeland security is treating the threats with skepticism, nevertheless they are warning stadium owners that on an internet website they found that "a dirty bomb has been smuggled into the US and will be detonated outside an NFL stadium. There is NO credible evidence that this will occur, but they are still warning people so they can secure their community. The American people should go on with their lives as planned, including attending these games."

9. That's the message I take away. If a bomb really does go off then
it is for sure that we are not safer with the Republicans in control.

But really, this is Karl's October surprise. And these people are evil enough to explode a bomb within the US to try to keep power.

Ergo: We are less safe than we were before. That's as simple as true logic gets.

I don't particularly like Clancey's political viewpoints (he says Reagan was the greatest President ever), but he writes exciting books that can take your mind off your problems or make a cross country airplane trip seem really fast.

Anyone ever read "Sum of all Fears"? Same story in that book...

Some right wing nut job (e.g. Rove, Cheney) probably read the book and then decided to make some false threats along those lines.

their going to post all about it on a web site. New York, Miami, Seattle, Oakland, Houston, Atlanta and Cleveland are included in the targets. The bombs will be on trucks outside of the staduims. And wasn't it really nice of those mean old terrorist to let us know all of the locations too. Tehm terrorist must hate football. I wonder if they'll have the word "terrorist" stamped on thier foreheads as a courtesy To DHS too? If this isn't classic BFEE BS, I don't know what is.

on edit: they appear to have provided enough information for these idiots to stop it if it were real. If they don't there will be no excuse. The "terrorists" are claiming the blasts will kill 100,00 people. Sure this ought to convince people, only they can keep us safe.

Put a bunch of BS out there, worked to a fine froth by Wolfie and company, and tell the public that the authorities aren't taking any precautions or safety measures and people should go about their business and attend mass gatherings.

People should boycott any function they call this kind of phoney-baloney alert on. They've done this so many times. Let businesses take a hit and start pressuring the terraists in the government to stop their BS.

79. Sounds like CYA in action
They don't seem to be taking it very seriously but they still want to cover their asses in case it turns out to be legitimate and something goes boom.

Either that or the making the whole thing up......again.

80. So those evil
facist Muslims HATE US for OUR PIGSKINS on the Playing Field? :)

Too bad we can't get people to REFUSE to attend as mentioned farther upthread, if we put the hurt on the owners you better believe they'd be crawling up Bush and Rove's ASSES.

HOW dare they scare people with such BULLSHIT, THIS needs to be shoved up their asses by the Dems in some commercials.

"WE will tell you when there's a CREDIBLE THREAT, and take APPROPRIATE ACTION, not like the Republicans who only want to get elected at any cost, and hat includes scaring the pants off of your Mother."

82. Latest attempt to scare the sheep...
What a nation of pussies this government has turned us into. They use every opportunity possible to frighten the country into submission. How sad is it if anyone actually wakes up in the morning and wonder, "Is today the day when the evil terrorists get me??!!!"
