~snip~ North Louisiana congressman Rodney Alexander this morning began testifying before the House ethics committee that is investigating the House page scandal.

Alexander was testifying behind closed doors about how his office handled concerns voiced by a teen-age page from Monroe who received inappropriate e-mails from disgraced former Congressman Mark Foley.

Alexander said he took the complaint about the "overly friendly" e-mails to the speaker of the House of Representatives last fall. The eventual disclosure of those and other, more salacious messages by the media led to Foley's resignation.
