Deadly clashes erupt in second Iraq town

BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) -- Police and members of anti-American Shiite cleric Muqtada al-Sadr's militia fought in another southern Iraq town on Saturday, leaving nine people dead.

A gun battle erupted in Suwayra, in Wasit province nearly 40 miles south of Baghdad.

This comes after an eruption of violence this week in Amara between police and the militia, known as the Mehdi Army.

Police said eight militia members and a civilian were killed in Suwayra.

3. Unfortunately a lot of fine young people are dying
because of Bush's foolishness.

This President needs to clean up his mess NOW...
or be replaced with someone who can do it for him.

6. Like This Administration Cares
Didn't Cheney basically say a few deaths don't matter! Wonder what he considers a lot of deaths. This administration should be sent to Iraq. Maybe that way the "real" problem could be solved.

5. Well crap. Everything is falling apart over there...
I feel so bad for all of those Iraqis whose lives are actually worse than under Saddam. I mean that is like saying being burned alive a good thing, comparatively. I never thought this nation could fuck up the lives of so many people, but I was unpleasantly surprised.
