Since * wants to distract us from scandals and civil war let's put together some recent stories to send to our friendly media personalities to help them respond to the Stock Market = great economy message that will come from *.

1. Truth is: China owns our ass. And our kid's asses, and our grandkids...

Also, the working class is getting squeezed out of any hope of lifting themselves to any level of security. Middle class is falling into economic peril.

The top 1% are doing great!

Just ask people to look at their bank balances. Few will buy bushco lies.

I'm far from the top 1% and I look at my bank balance and everything is pretty good.

6. How's your community's infrastructure?

How is the mortgage default rate in your area?

How is funding for schools?

How about that deregualted energy? At what point do we yell UNCLE?

How is unemployment? People actually making a living, or barely staying alive? What affects the underemployed and desperate, affects us all. More robberies in the news? People are hurting.

Then there is health care. I don't have time to even go there today

Glad you are doing OK personally. The nation's people ARE NOT taken on a whole.

3. The economy IS GREAT if you are in the upper 10% of our

citizens. If you're not, your wages have actually fallen, escalating costs of health care, gas, utilities, food, etc. are making the economy not so good to really BAD! Nobody is counting or talking about the folks who lost their MFG. or high tech jobs and have had to takea job paying 1/2 or lessthan they made before.

when they want to. And they sure seem to be working on it.

Rethugs have been crying terra, terra, for five years and now they want to consider the economy?

We are in debt because of the war. End of story.

during the Bush Presidency.

• For 2005, average real weekly wages fell 0.4% from $552.75 in December 2004 to $550.60 in December 2005. Since the end of the recession, they are also down 0.4% from $552.58 in November 2001.

• For 2005, average real hourly wages fell 0.4% from $16.40 in December 2004 to $16.34 in December 2005. Since the end of the recession, they have been effectively stagnant, dropping one cent from $16.35 in November 2001.

• Since the 2003 tax cut, real hourly wages have fallen 2.2% and real weekly wages have fallen 1.6%.

• Real median household income has fallen each year Bush has been in office and by nearly $1,000 since the recession 2001
