Well, at least for the White House and the GOP it will be.

I believe that we are going to take back both houses of Congress. Too many people are too pissed, and right now I think Diebold, ES&S and Sequoia would write off this election to "prove" their machines aren't rigged. If they give a nice clean election once, they can go back to rigging them and point to 2006 as proof their shit works properly.)

I further believe that if the Democrats start an impeachment investigation, it will have two results:

either he will be impeached and will be convicted by considerable margins in both houses (the man cheated his way into office twice, allowed 9/11 to happen, started an illegal war, let Osama go at Tora Bora, collapsed the economy, condoned torturing human beings and played his new guitar while New Orleans died then held back aid for a week--I don't care which party you're in, you can't go back to your constituents and ask to be left in your job after you allowed someone who makes Saddam Hussein look like a piker to remain in his)

or the Republican National Committee will rent a U-haul truck, go to the White House in the middle of the night, stuff a sock into Shrub's mouth, put him in a toilet paper box with holes poked in the bottom, stick a LOT of postage stamps on it, and mail him to Burkina Faso.

(https://www.cia.gov/cia/publications/factbook/geos/uv.html will tell you more about Burkina Faso than you ever wanted to know. Suffice it to say it's not one of the world's premier garden spots. OTOH, it doesn't have an extradition treaty with the United States, but they might throw him back anyway.)

So forget the so-called War Against Christmas, and remember that Shrub's glad tidings of comfort and joy will disappear at one in the morning the day after the election, when he figures out just how screwed he is.

5. You'll keep hearing it from me, too
There have been two presidential impeachments in American history: Andrew Johnson, who pissed off the Republicans over Reconstruction and was impeached for trying to get rid of the Secretary of War in violation of the unconstitutional Tenure of Office Act (which required that all firings of officeholders had to be approved by the Senate), and Bill Clinton, who pissed off the Republicans by his very existence and was impeached for lying about being blown by Monica Lewinsky.

George W. Bush is guilty of actual crimes that carry penalties ranging from hard time to death. There's nothing political here: sic Eliot Spitzer on this administration and someone will be at the end of a rope.

Bush won't survive an impeachment inquiry. No politician who cares about his own career would vote to acquit.

2. Let's not celebrate this thing until we HAVE won!
There are still two weeks until we get to play touch the screen and see if it counts. There will be no euphoria from me until we actually have taken them out.

9. I don't see anybody celebrating.
Are you saying that people shouldn't be optimistic? If you don't want to be optimistic about November, please do not try to deprive others of it.

I am extremely optimistic. But that doesn't stop me from working hard, or even encouraging others to join the effort. If we Dems have an incredible advantage this year, and I firmly believe we do, what a crime it would be to let down our guard, or to lapse our efforts to make this even bigger than it now looks?

Work hard!!

6. That's not far enough away
The Air Force could load some laser-guided bombs on a B-52G, take off at 4am, fly to Paraguay, level the Bush hideout and be back in North Dakota before the mess hall stopped serving dinner.

Wherever he goes, he'll always have to contend with someone either shooting him, beheading him, or remanding him to The Hague.
