My America is a place where men who lost their jobs and income still can look others in the eye with honor because others still look at them with respect for all they have done over the years, and know that given half a chance, they will accomplish even more.
My America is a place where women and children who have been abandoned by loved ones for whatever reasons are still able to have a home to live in, and the ability to pay the heating bills.
My America is a place where every man, woman and child has a bed to lie down in every night with a fluffy pillow and their favorite blanky.
My America is a place where everyone has enough to eat, and not just because they search through the dumpsters behind the expensive restaurants.
My America is a place where clothes don't make the man, but the man makes the clothes; and everything else that is needed in this society.
My America is a place where one doesn't need to have $1.19 in their pocket to be able to have water to drink.
My America is a place where a war against poverty takes precedence over a war against drugs.
My America is a place where the government doesn't lie every day to its people.
My America is a place where the government doesn't send people to die for no reason.
My America is a place where one can speak or write a dissenting view and not have to worry about being hurt.
My America doesn't currently exist, but it still could/can.
Can we all do what we can to make America better instead of embarrassing and hurtful?
My America is a place where people don't die because they can't afford medical care or medications.
My America is a place that takes the peoples taxes and uses them to help the people.
This will be my America.
