Once again a RW "Smear merchant" is carrying the GOP'S water

and people are already calling Webb a goner, the "Smear Merchant" who claimed Kerry had an affair, the same asshole who has been smearing democrats for 10 years. Can we wait and hear from Webb before calling him "Also ran as"?

Even if that sentence is in a Webb book, context is everything. He was a respected novelist - I've never read anything he wrote because I don't read war books.

The Kerry story is a good caution - in a long NEW YORK magazine story, the woman spoke of how it turned her life upside down for the week or so till it was firmly denied by everyone.
