Senator Bill Frist: "Our Country Can't Afford A Democratic Victory"
So he says, in yet another desperate, fear-laden missive from the RNC to the party faithful:

"This week, Ted Kennedy and John Kerry dumped $1 million from their campaign war chests into Democrat coffers. They answered the call of liberal groups who are pressing Democrats to pour tens of millions into a final push to gain control of Congress.

RNC Chairman Ken Mehlman issued his own challenge to you and me Wednesday night - asking us to help him to double the Kennedy / Kerry bid for Congress.

Thousands of our grassroots supporters have already responded. The momentum is on our side and we need to keep it going. Will you help today?

Challenge/Frist

Kennedy and Kerry are leading the charge for good reason. As Kennedy said, he sees this election as "a critical opportunity to reverse the damage done by the Bush Administration".

But I can tell you this: Democrats are wrong on every issue: From surveillance of international calls coming into our country to securing our borders to keeping our economy strong.

As Senate Majority Leader, I've worked closely with leaders of the Democrat Party -- and I can say without a doubt they have repeatedly proven to lack the credibility and ideas needed to lead the United States Congress.

Nancy Pelosi -- who the Democrats want to be Speaker of the House -- said "I don't really consider us at war." We cannot turn the War on Terror over to that kind of thinking.

Harry Reid -- who would be the Senate Majority Leader if Democrats win -- has called President Bush a "loser" and repeatedly uses obstructionist tactics including the threat of shutting down the Senate in order to "screw things up."

Charlie Rangel -- who will become chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee -- said "No question about it" when asked whether he would consider raising taxes on all Americans.

That is the just the tip of the iceberg. Democrats proudly talk about raising taxes, retreating in on the War on Terror, cutting and running from Iraq and starting impeachment hearings against President.

We cannot let the Democrats succeed.

There are only 11 days until the election.

And our Party needs your financial support now more than ever.

Please click the link below to make an urgent donation of $25, $50 or $100 to fully fund the Republican National Committee's final ten day Get-Out-the-Vote program. Help meet Chairman Mehlman's challenge to double the Kennedy / Kerry bid.

http://www.GOP.com/Challenge/Frist

Democrats hope to win on November 7th by using vicious and angry attacks against our Party and our President instead of proposing solutions to the issues that face America.

We are a nation at war with a determined enemy who continues to plot against America. And Republican leadership of Congress during the final two years of the Bush Presidency is the best way our country can continue to answer threats to our security head on. We have made the tough decisions on keeping our nation safe with little or no support from Democrats.

Though I'll be leaving office and returning home to Tennessee this year, I am determined to do all I can to help Republicans keep our majorities in both Houses of Congress.

Yet I know it is Republican activists like you who are the key to victory. Will you help meet the Kennedy/Kerry challenge with a contribution of $25, $50 or $100 now?

http://www.GOP.com/Challenge/Frist

There are only 11 days until the election. Please don't sit on the sidelines in our final push to victory. Please click here to make a donation to help meet the Chairman's challenge and fully fund our last minute Get-Out-The-Vote Programs. Our candidates are counting on you to make the difference today.

Sincerely,

Bill Frist, M.D.
U.S. Senator, Tennessee

1. Bill Frist. THE CAT BUTCHER.
The country can't afford democracy? It can't permit the letter and spirit of the Constitution to apply?

This man is a disgrace.

2. He's outta here after January
Back to his practice, his stocks, and his friends in the pharmaceutical PACS.

The RNC will be sending out, I would guess, one of these types of E-mails to its members every day for the next eleven days.

13. Maybe he'll be so stupid as to actually run for the presidency in '08
and spend his ill gotten gains in a self financed campaign.

25. I guess they have to do what they do, but the wording is
undemocratic.

The GOP, if it loses the House especially, is going to have to do a little self-examination. They're running on an unsustainable philosophy right now: fear and smear.

3. I'm confused. I don't know who the Democrat Party is.
I'm very familiar with the Democratic Party, but Bill Frist must be talking about some other party he diagnosed via video or something.

10. "Democrat Party" is the RNC's adolescent shorthand for "Democratic"
Those folks really do need to grow up, grow a brain and get a life. :eyes:

8. Top GOP criminals think THEY are the country, rest of us are nothing.
DEM victory definitely a threat to those who have engaged in criminal and un-American activites... like enabling the most corrupt administration in history to usurp dictatorial powers.

Dear NRCC supporter,

Right now, just over one week until Election Day, I am frightened with the current political situation in our great nation. We are in the midst of a battle for Congress and the Democrats have their first serious chance in over a decade to take back the majority in Congress.

And we must stop them!

If the Democrats gain control of Congress, ultra-liberal Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi will become Speaker of the House. This left-wing Congresswoman will be third in line to the presidency if she becomes speaker. The prospect of Pelosi bringing San Francisco values and a foreign policy attitude of weakness, appeasement and surrender would be a disaster for the country.

We cannot allow this to happen and we must stop Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats immediately. The NRCC is working around the clock to support Republican campaigns to make sure Republicans hold the majority in Congress. But we must have your help today.

If the Democrats win the majority, our country's top leaders will be men and women who will miss-represent their constituents in Washington. The Republican-controlled Congress has worked too hard to allow Democrats like Pelosi, Charlie Rangel, Harry Reid and Ted Kennedy to raise taxes, cut defense and homeland security spending and ruin the economic growth that Republicans have fought so hard for and supported.

The Democrats are out for a fight and want to win the majority more than ever this year. Unfortunately, they have the money and infrastructure like never before and it is a huge concern. As Republicans, we have to work even harder to promote our candidates above the constant barrage of liberal Democrat attacks this year.

That is why I need your help today. I know from personal experience how important the NRCC's support is. The committee helps GOP congressional campaigns with everything from keeping TV ads on the air to get-out-the-vote. None of it is possible without your help though. Please go to this link and help fund the NRCC's efforts today.

We must defeat the Democrats on November 7th. Please contribute today.

Your friend,

Newt Gingrich
Former Speaker of the House

20. I know. Some people struggling to pay their bills and pay for health care
and even go without health care, believe this - it's unreal!

That "trickle down" is nothing more than caca raining down upon them.

21. Here, I have a gift for you.
The Dow Jones Industrials Average closed last week at 11,867. That's a gain of 1,279 points since George Bush took office on Jan. 20, 2001.

That's an annualized gain of 2 percent.

Under Bill Clinton, it was 15.9 percent.

Bush's dad: 9.8 percent.

Ronald Reagan: 11.3 percent.

These figures are public record.

The index also did better under Presidents Ford, Johnson, Kennedy, Eisenhower, Truman, Franklin D. Roosevelt and Calvin Coolidge. Much better.

Since World War I, the only presidents with a worse Dow Jones Industrials record than the incumbent were Herbert Hoover, Richard Nixon and Jimmy Carter.

Hoover, Nixon, Carter, Bush? Hmmmm.

Those screaming terra, terra terra the loudest are afraid of oversight, they are afraid of the people, they are afraid of accountabilty, they are afraid of being hauled off to jail. Vote Democratic and see who is really afraid.
