Could Someone Explain the Fence? Bush signed it but it has no funding?
So it won't get built?

Is that correct?

It was just a move to keep the "dumber than dumb" base happy?

And have you looked at the map of the fence? There are hundreds of miles of holes in it? So people just move down aways and cross where there isn't a fence (the fence that isn't nor ever will be, that is)

Is this whole thing for real?

1. Why is this hard for you to believe?
They think that no child left behind is good for edu-ma-cation, why not go for this?

They just listen to the happy parts, and their little minds filter out the rest.

10. Well this is kind of the most outrageous thing!
I wish they would just deep six the whole wall thing. I hate that idea.

You know, we have lots and lots of Hispanics in Kansas City and they are good for this city. There are so many here now that we don't think anything about it - they are just a big part of our population.

I wish people would just leave them alone. (I know that is very simplistic)

4. Bullshit republican ploy to placate hometown voters. It means nothing.
It's so Hastert & company can go home and brag that they did 'something' about illegal immigration. It's for appearances only.

6. Yep
They don't really want to do anything about it. They just want the other fascists to think they have.

5. Who can tell what's real and what isn't with BushCo?
I'd say it will get built if one of Bush's big backers can make money off it, but who knows? As dumb as Bush is, he was also the governor of Texas, and he knows full well it won't do any good, so maybe he won't build it. Then again, he's never cared before whether anything he does works, only whether it gets money in the pockets of the people pulling his strings.

Those large holes in the fence, btw, are deadly. They plan to build a fence where the crossings are easiest, meaning safest, and leave holes where the crossings are most dangerous, thus driving many immigrants who can't afford the smuggling rings into the dessert, where many will die. I imagine BushCo and his filthy supporters think that's a bonus.

7. The "news" channels explained it best...
CNN started off their report on the signing by with the headline "President Bush finally gets tough on immigration."

It's all about the press release. It's like a big living breathing signing statement..."I'm signing this bill, but I'm not going to actually do anything it says."

Bread and circuses. Without the bread. And the circus sucks pretty bad, too.

15. When they round up and prosecute the rich bastards who hire illegals
and exploit them, THEN we will consider the GOP is getting tough on illegal immigration! In the meantime, some such illegal EMPLOYERS are running for office, like the bozo in Nevada!

Yep, it is just more smoke and mirrors to get the base to forget Foley and young boys and get to the voting booths.

12. Congress refused to send the bill to the idiot because
they didn't want it signed "too early" because they wanted to use it as their "rallying the troops" issue. No, it's not for real. There is NO MONEY to build the damn thing! I have to give the MSM some credit on this one...they have been telling the sheeple about the bill, but also add that there was NO MONEY appropriated to build it. People will see right through this ploy.

18. I know. The HYPOCRISY of the Reagan lovers
is fascinating, isn't it? They are always touting how wonderful Reagan is because he got the Berlin wall torn down, yet they want one built around MY country? Their brains don't work right.

16. The fence is stupid, but
think of it this way, as long as they use local labor, and pay PREVAILING WAGE, let them build the fence. The infusion of a billion or so into the Ariz. economy wouldn't be a bad thing, and what the hell, we all know it won't do anything.

17. Like the depression work projects?
Let's just put everyone to work on the fence. And when it is built they can tear it all down again.
