Why Do Conservatives Think They Can Make Diagnoses Via Televison?
Click here to read the analysis.

But isn't it odd that Rush Limbaugh now, like Bill Frist a year ago, thinks that he can make a diagnosis based on a video clip? Frist, at least, is a doctor, and has an ounce of credibility. El Rushbo is a recovering drug addict.

Frist was embarrassed a year ago by the masses for his stupidity. Limbaugh -- who refuses to apologize for dissing Michael J. Fox, should be embarrassed now by the masses for his stupidity.

3. Because they know their moron supporters will accept it
The "conservative" base which chooses to not be intellectually curious are more then happy to sit back and let scholars like limbaugh teach them for three hours a day as they stare at the radio, drool hanging on their lower lip. And these people vote.

4. Because objective reality mean nothing to them.

They don't care about the actual state of the person they're diagnosing. It's all about spin and immediate political necessity. Reality simply doesn't concern them.

7. They yearn for a simpler world...
...one without quantum mechanics, strange religions, genetics or those pesky poor people. The Way Things Ought to Be, you might say, rather than what is.

is about that.

but the polls suggest that on many issues, the divide between left and right is slight. it's not the same ss with cultural issues.
