DU Public Service Announcement: Don't Forget To Fall Back 1 Hour Sunday

Don't Forget to Fall Back 1 Hour on Sun.

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Most Americans can get a chance at an extra hour of sleep this weekend; clocks fall back to standard time. It's the last time this will happen in October.

Because of a law passed last year, daylight-saving time will start earlier and end later beginning in 2007. It will last from the second Sunday in March to the first Sunday in November.

The clock change switches an hour of daylight from evening to morning.

The official change occurs at two a.m. Sunday, though most folks will make the change before going to bed Saturday night.

Arizona, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, American Samoa, Guam and the Northern Marianas do not observe daylight-saving time.

2. Fall back? Fall back? Aren't we more hip than that?
Shouldn't we 'lean back' an hour on Sunday?

Or am I just trying to prove that I'm gellin?

3. Thanks. I know one 14-year-old who will be ever so happy.
My daughter has to walk to the bus stop at 6:50 a.m. while it's still pitch dark. And of course I feel compelled to go on a health walk every morning around the same time.
