On a blustery bank of the Hudson River in Croton, a spokesman for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee announced that the District 19 race had been added to its "Red to Blue" list, the committee's pick of top winnable contests in the country. It could mean more funding and other support for Hall in the campaign's final days.
"This is a race that has caught our attention because of a terrific candidate and a great volunteer base," said Rep. Chris Van Hollen, D-Maryland. "Sue Kelly has given lock-step support to the Bush administration. We see John Hall and this race on the front lines of the effort to change the direction of this country." (emphasis added)(snip)
Hall used Croton Point Park yesterday as the setting to receive the endorsement of the Sierra Club.
