NO ANSWER TO ANSWER TO. No Free speech Zones. NO arrests. No marginalization by the press.

You call these companies and give them an ultimatum.

GET THE GOP to END THE WAR or WE DON'T BUY YOUR PRODUCTS ANYMORE.

NO CEO WANTS THEIR TELEPHONE LINES TIED UP AND TO GET CALLS FROM THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE
EVERY DAY WHILE THEY LOSE MONEY. NO CEO. NOT ONE.

I have listed the most prominent GOP Contributors.

"The Republican party appears weak and vulnerable at the cash registers of those companies that donate money to them." LiberalDemocrat7 2006.

1. Physical presence is required.
Torches and pitchforks rather than bits and bytes.

4. Really?
Where were you in the 90's? During the Clinton years? When Rush would fart and the freepers would jump for joy.

Such main stays as the calling to harrass companys, talk shows, news media, etc.. is what gave the illusion that the majority of the people were against Clinton and the Democrats.

Church TV and Freepers keep the message 'out there' and companys learned to 'jump' when pushed.

6. You don't need physical presence.
thousands of idiot freepers stopped CBS from showing the Reagan movie a few years ago and those couch potatoes merely exercised their fingers to call CBS and they capitulated and their cause appeared of little value.

Sure to stop the war apears much more valued than a stupid movie about Ronald Reagan, King of selfishness.

I posted a thread this weekend about a call I got from GM on my email comments to them re: their Cadillac promotion with Hannity. IMO, we might be on to something with contacting major Repuke contributors and telling them that our dollars will not be going to them since they support such immoral things that are part and parcel of supporting the Repuke party. I went off on GM about Hannity and his support of Foley ~~ and that struck a major nerve with them. Or...at least I think it did. With all the emails I have sent to companies over the years because of the political causes which they support, this is the FIRST time I have ever gotten a phone call from any of them.

I am also wondering if we could get email addies for these companies and along with telephoning, put in writing our dissatisfaction with any business that is supporting people dying in Iraq for the lies of G.W. Bush and for any party who clearly and intentionally covers for a sexual predator of minors.

Anyone have any thoughts on this?? :hi:

Oh...and Good Morning, Everyone! I sure love the DU!! :grouphug:

Edit to add a K&R!

9. Here is what I sent to G.E.
I have been reading on the internet that your company is a strong supporter of the Republican Party. Because of this and most particularly directed at the coming holiday season, my purchases no longer will include any products made by G.E. Your contributions to the Republican Party is what has made it possible for them to remain in power in our government far, far too long and do the harm they have done to so many both inside and outside of our nation.

I do not wish to patronize any company or business which supports the carnage which has taken place in Iraq or which supports any politician who has been involved in covering up the activity of a sexual predator such as Mark Foley. I do not wish to support any company which supports a political party which has not done right by our veterans and our elderly ~~ but allows them to go homeless and hungry. Nor will I support any company which does not support those stuggling for minimum wages while the executives of the company lives like robber barrons.

Until such time as you no longer contribute to what in my opinion are immoral acts such as I set forth above, please consider me a former customer.

Ooooooooooh.....it felt sooooooo good to click on the send button to let G.E. know what I think of what they support politically!

:hi:

11. Very good. It appears about time that people hold these companies accountable
for their support of the Republican party.

So many people get frustrated with the people in the Republican party and this gives people a very effective way to bring their complaints to the people that give them money. The Republican office holders do not have much to lose but their financial contributors do especially when they sell products that we can boycott.

12. If millions upon millions protesting prior to the war didn't stop it
what will this accomplish now? I'm all for stopping the war, but I just don't see this as being a very effective way of spending our time and energy.

13. Because those millions didn't make phone calls to the people
that do not want to lose their business. If millions of people call General electric, Wendy's, Outback Steakhouse, etc. and swamp them with the demand that their CEO get the GOP to stop the war, IT WILL WORK.

The marchers in the war protests did not apply any pressure on the GOP or their contributors. That's why several war protests did not get the troops out of Iraq despite the popularity of the war years ago and the unpopularity of the war now.
