WANT TO WIN?? VOLUNTEER NOW
There are 9 days left --- please call your local Democrat Headquarters or stop by to ask how you can help! It is time to shut the computer down and head out to volunteer! Every little thing you can do will help no matter how small the contribution - whether it is canvassing, calling, submitting letter to the editor, driving people to the polls or monitoring the election, it is time to work!

Take a few days off work or a few evenings off the computer and help!

Please kick and recommend until we have victories nationwide!

1. Sadly....I can't. I'm stuck with jury duty that week.
It sucks, but it's my duty.

3. Anyone living in Northern Nevada (Reno), please pm me
I need volunteers for Election Day for our GOTV teams. The more volunteers I can get, the more precincts I can adopt. So far, I've got enough for 10 precincts. I need 6 to 10 more people to cover the extra 4 targeted precincts on my wish list. I need early morning lit droppers/drivers, callers/door knockers, poll watchers (training/certification required but it's easy) and drivers. Anyone interested?

5. Delivered yard signs yesterday and today
It was great fun, too!

When I asked one guy where he'd like me to put the sign out there in his yard - He said: "Where Republicans can see it!"

6. I intend to volunteer as a Poll Worker tomorrow
...since my registration in Ohio MAGICALLY didn't go through and I can no longer vote on election day, I figure I'll still be of SOME use if I help those old people use those new-fangled voting machines...

7. work the polls. feel the power.
election workers are officers of the court. they can blow the whistle on election fraud if there are enough of them, and they know what to look for and, especially, if they have the backbone to stand up and blow that whistle. (plus, you get paid.)

13. I just started making calls today with MoveOn
It's the first time I've ever done anything like this. And while I was nervous
about it at first, it sure felt good to do more than just vote.

It's fairly painless and easy to do when you have 15-20 minutes of time.

17. That's good to know
I just volunteered to make phone calls at a MoveOn house party in my neighborhood next weekend. I've never done any political stuff that involved talking one-on-one to voters before. I'm a little nervous but the fear of our current right-wing government maintaining power is forcing me to overcome it.

Thanks to Rose Siding for alerting me to this link!

The reThugs are kicking it into high gear for the last leg -- and so must we!

And anybody in northern VA can contact me offline if you can help get out the vote.

OPs like this that are UNDER me on this board but OVER me in votes... some things are more important than winning a petty contest at DU!

I wouldn't phone people as I hate when people phone me. I did volunteer with the DNC for NJ, but I never heard from them.
