When my mom died her best friend called in to check on me one night, and she was real upset. She has lost the friendship ring mom had given her many years ago. That was in January of 2005 (mom died 12/31/2004).

FF a few months, and Mary (mom's best friend and neighbor to me) found out she was dying and asked me to come down and see her. She asked me if I remembered her call about the ring. Of course I had. Well, she said, the day she found out she was dying (Pancreatic cancer) her daughter found that ring. Sitting in the middle of the sink. This was nearly 4 months after she lost it, and she told me 'ellie is calling me home' (ellie was a term her friends called mom).

And then her husband chimed in that he had lost the remote for the garage door last year and was sitting on the porch and saw it just sitting there in the grass, which he had mowed many times since losing it.

Lost things indeed. Get to looking!
