"Military men are just dumb stupid animals to be used as pawns in foreign policy.” -- Henry Kissinger as quoted in the book “Kiss the Boys Goodbye"

And one can find this quote elsewhere.

Our government is becoming too powerful. We must win - and roll all this shit back, and not give in to corporations.

he had to duck out of his hotel hidden in the floorboard of his car and make a hasty retreat out of there.

10. Sheesh, I just heard that quote in "America to Fascism". Just finished
watching it. Hpots had posted it in the National Security forum in a thread re: the National ID cards. I stumbled onto it. Interesting points in this one. :scared:

13. Must be!! But now I'm really getting spooked. We were just talking
about the Fed, money and this whole National ID business at supper, then I stumble onto that thread in a forum I didn't even know DU had, then I stumble onto the video.

Now I'm sharing the "same wavelength" with you. Too much to handle in one night, though at this rate it might be a good time to look for some lost items...I just might stumble onto them. ;-) :hi:

14. Now THAT is a weird thing to say! Check this out:
"it might be a good time to look for some lost items...I just might stumble onto them."

When my mom died her best friend called in to check on me one night, and she was real upset. She has lost the friendship ring mom had given her many years ago. That was in January of 2005 (mom died 12/31/2004).

FF a few months, and Mary (mom's best friend and neighbor to me) found out she was dying and asked me to come down and see her. She asked me if I remembered her call about the ring. Of course I had. Well, she said, the day she found out she was dying (Pancreatic cancer) her daughter found that ring. Sitting in the middle of the sink. This was nearly 4 months after she lost it, and she told me 'ellie is calling me home' (ellie was a term her friends called mom).

And then her husband chimed in that he had lost the remote for the garage door last year and was sitting on the porch and saw it just sitting there in the grass, which he had mowed many times since losing it.

Lost things indeed. Get to looking!

15. Thanks! There's a ring that I haven't been able to find for a few weeks now.
Let's hope it turns up. I've gotta turn in for the night for now though. Hope whatever "this" is can last until morning! :hi:

I'm not even offended by that. His actions bespeak that attitude daily. I'm offended by their attempts to pretend that they *don't* see us that way.

24. A man of many words.
Edited on Mon Oct-30-06 06:38 AM by soup
Rumsfeld's "fungible" would have sufficed.

But then again, when he used the word, I had to look it up. "Dumb stupid animals to be used as pawns", just as reprehensible, is much easier to understand.

edit for clarity

28. Kissinger--Rockefellers invested in enemy vehicle company.
These vehicles were used in Korea and Vietnam against US troops!

...Although the military output from Gorki and ZIL was well known to U.S. intelligence and therefore to successive administrations, American aid for construction of even large military truck plants was approved in the 1960s and 1970s.

Under intense political pressure from the deaf mute blindmen, U.S. politicians, particularly in the Johnson and Nixon administrations under the prodding of Henry Kissinger (a long-time employee of the Rockefeller family), allowed the Togliatti (Volgograd) and Kama River plants to be built.

The Volgograd automobile plant, built between 1968 and 1971, has a capacity of 600,000 vehicles per year, three times more than the Ford-built Gorki plant, which up to 1968 had been the largest auto plant in the USSR.
