Republican Senator's son freed early

Washington Department of Corrections administrators ordered the release of state Sen. Pam Roach's son, who was in prison on drug-trafficking charges, more than 100 days early -- despite warnings from community corrections officers that such a move would violate agency policy. Two street-level officers assigned to the case raised serious concerns -- verbally and in writing -- weeks before Stephen Roach, 26,

5. Ah, he's back in Auburn...
No one will notice.

Before any possible Auburnites object to this, let me state that I lived there for years. I used to party on the Stuk River and know the woods above Game Farm Park like the back of my hand.

That said... The biggest drug dens in Auburn are a couple of bars kitty-corner from the cop shop and across the street from the courthouse. Unless something's changed in the last several years, and I somehow doubt it.

I'm sure he'll be busted again soon enough.

6. From the story:
"Corrections Deputy Secretary Mary Leftridge Byrd said the decision to let Roach out early had nothing to do with his mother's political clout."

I call BULLSHIT!!

7. Don't you just love this!?!?!
Just how stupid do Repukes think people are?

This is really a choice piece of crap here:

Roach, who is seeking re-election Nov. 7, denied pressing for her son's release. She said she called Clarke to complain that the officers checking the suitability of her home hadn't removed their shoes at her request.

"I had nothing to do with whenever (Stephen) gets in or gets out," Roach said in an interview. "I would never interject myself like that. I would never do that."

Oh really????
