Jack Thompson taking Bully game to court over gay-kiss scene
http://www.destructoid.com/gay-kiss-in-bully-gets-legal-lip-service

So now gay kissing is harmful to minors? Forget for the moment that the gay kiss that occurs in Bully is completely optional, much like in the Sims games. I swear to god, I hate these fucking neocon right-wingers who want to control what everyone gets to do.

If you read about 3/4 down the page, there is an excellent rebuttal from someone with the nickname "Nightwng2000".

1. I have the game; here's what really happens
Kissing other students is one of two ways to regain health; the other way is to drink soda. If you attend -- and pass -- your art classes, your kisses become more effective at regaining health.

To kiss another student, you must "dress nice" and have good enough standing with the student's faction. You present candy or flowers and the other student will plant a big smooch on you. Watch that health meter rise; there is nothing more invigorating than hormones when you are 15!

If you don't want to kiss a boy, DON'T OFFER HIM FLOWERS OR CANDY. In other words, don't flirt with them. If you flirt only with girls, only girls will offer to kiss you.

What really sets off this idiot is that flirting with another boy doesn't result in getting beatten down to only 1 point of health.

7. I have been wondering
what happens if you approach a guy who isn't into guys in that game? Or do you know who the gay or bi guys are?

8. Apparently, all of the students are bisexual
If they don't already want to grind you into hamburger (and that is pretty much how you start the game, being the new kid and all), they are open to the idea of making out with you. If only my own high school were that open!

2. “Small Government;” except for everything one does in their personal life.
I have often contemplated taking the “Christian Coalition” to court for subjecting me to the televised moments of affection between Jerry Fallwell and his wife; absolutely harmful to minors.

4. Ah, Jack Thompson
The idiot who sued 2 Live Crew and then suckered Rosa Parks into suing Outkast. He is mentally deranged.

6. Ha! What, no mention of Sims II???
I've created whole communities of gays and lesbians, happily chatting and sending their kids to school. It's a hoot!

9. Get the Pets expansion, if you haven't already
It comes with a new Family spiration lifetime goal: raise 20 puppies or kittens. I've now added a pair of real-life friends to my neighborhood who raise spaniels.

13. So, he's suing because he believes it offends his religion?
What, does he think he's some kind of Ayatollah?

Why doesn't he just move to Iran where they pander to zealots like him...
