And so, in a last-ditch effort to save her beloved Commonwealth of Virginia and the US Congress from the filthy, common hands of a passel of Damn-liberals, Lynne Cheney ripped down her mama's curtains from the front windows, put them on, and rode the coach and four to the Turner House, where she submitted to the insulting and ungentlemanly attentions of one Mr. Wolf Blitzer.

1. Carol Burnett and Harvey Korman do Gone With The WInd ...

... far, far better than Gable and company, imho. The drapes just cracked me up - especially leaving the rod in. That was absolutely classic!

Carol Burnett says the curtain rod gag earned the biggest, loudest, most sustained laugh in the long history of her show.

To which I add: and one of the biggest in the history of televison.

4. It was brilliant - as was the show and the players.

Harvey Korman was wholly incapable of keeping a straight face for more than a second or two. While Carol and Tim took great joy in cracking him up, this was his most fractured. I loved that show with a passion ... absolutely every cast member was brilliant. Carol herself is, for me, one of the best models of female and sexy I know of - along with Whoopee, of course.
