Injured Shiite: "Bring Saddam back! It wasn't like this under his rule!"
From the blog Healing Iraq, by an Iraqi in America who once believed in Bush's war:

Baghdad: A Doctor's Story

This video filmed by an Iraqi doctor is a must see. I am amazed that someone could actually film the terrible conditions inside one of Iraq's most dangerous hospitals, Al-Yarmouk Hospital in western Baghdad, in these troubled days.

I was struggling to keep my tears from flowing because I was watching it with an American friend 2 days ago. But at one point, when an injured Shi'ite woman lying in an ambulance started screaming at the camera, "Bring Saddam back! It wasn't like this under his rule!" I lost control.

This should be on every American tv channel. Go see it.

When you're finished, go watch this moving tribute put by Iraqi Konfused Kid for his 4 friends who were killed in a roadside bomb explosion at Karrada one week before their graduation from college. It puts a face to the victims of this war. Those are our friends, brothers, neighbours and relatives. They were real people leading real lives. They are not statistics.

1. Is there a raiting to the video
or is it pretty tame? I know I can't handle really bad images. I've seen beheadings and not know it and Nick Berg's pictures and another little boy about seven or eight who died in a bomb with half his body blown up and the other half still holding onto someone trying to save them and those images are just scared in my soul forever I know. I was just wondering. :( It's so sad and I wish people like Bill O'Reilly could see this.

8. I decided to watch it
anyways and it was definitley very heartwrenching. Every American should have to see this. Those doctors are such hero's truly and their families. :( My favorite part is when one guy was saying how they are targeted because they cure and help anyone no matter who they are. They don't ask are you this or that. :( There's another good story it seems on the BBC from a little Palestine kid who is twelve and sells tea at the Gaza strip on the main page.

7. "There are probably 20 out of 20 million of us who are still smiling.
"And they're probably psychopaths."
Spoken Dr. Ali, an Iraqi surgeon in the film.
