Why the rush to impeachment?
My understanding is that impeachment doesn't guarantee removal from office.

All impeachment guarantees is that a lot of time and energy will be spent trying to get enough votes to start the proceedings while creating more acrimony in the process.

I vote for Indictment. :applause:

My Vision:

The Repubs who still remain in Congress will expect immediate overtures for impeachment. So, the Dems do what they are least expected to do. They focus on their 2006 promises by striving to fix Iraq, bring our kids home and undo the rest of the damage caused by the insanity of our creature-in-chief - and they succeed.

The Dem majority plays it really smart this time and uses the mandate given to them on Nov 7 to give us back our country. They work to exercise much needed oversight and attempt to set new standards of integrity, calling for a return to sanity and balance in government. Then with subtle tenacity, they begin calm and earnest investigations into the many crimes of Little Horn's regime. They take their time in order to build strong, precise cases against the tyrants so that the resulting indictments will be iron-clad and spin-proof.

Meanwhile, to sate the blood lust that will surely come after the election, they call for full censure and the straight-up indictment of Boy Genius. It won't be too difficult to get Congress to go for something like that, as he has made many enemies over the years and has become irrelevant anyway. Just imagine poor Junior all alone in the whitehouse for a year and a half without his 'real' brain. You think he is imploding now?
:bounce:

Then, when the tyrant's cabal is ousted in 2009 and no longer able to hide behind executive privilege, they are indicted and publicly arrested. Amazingly, there is more than one 'smoking gun' in the cases presented against them and so each and every one of the "Sordid Seven" stand convicted of their crimes many times over.

Our final glimpse of them is broadcast worldwide - we see the Shameful Seven, wearing orange jumpsuits and handcuffed together as they shuffle into the global courtroom to receive their long overdue judgment at the Hague. The world breathes a collective sigh of relief as the monsterous influence of this evil coterie is repudiated forever
