New Iraqi PM telling US to dismantle checkpoints, ok we're out
A story breaking this morning from Iraq says that the new Prime Minister has "ordered" that the US dismantle security check points around Sadr City and other surrounding suburbs of Baghdad. This signals a win for the local Al Sadr militias.
If the Iraqi PM is to the point where he feels that he can order us around and control the country, regardless of militia fighting, I think that it's time we hand him the keys to the country and get out troops to the airport for the next flights out of there.
The Iraqi PM has already said that he is not "our man" over there.
In my opinion, if they want it, they can have it, the whole stinking package.

1. That "whole stinking package" is their country.
Why shouldn't he give orders and control the country? He's the Prime Minister. That's his job.

3. exactly
It's his country, we have no business there. It is time for us to leave. Wasn't that the "plan" all along, "they stand up, we step down"? This move sounds like a "stand up"....so now we can leave.

4. You sound offended that Iraqis are 'standing up.'
Isn't that supposed to be the point here?

5. not offended, glad
I want us out of there. We have lost too many good soldiers in this ilegal and wrong war. They (the Iraqi PM and co.) sound ready to take over. I'm glad. Bring the boys (and girls) back home.

6. WTF is the US doing in their country anyway
other than stealing oil and causing the death of hundreds of thousands of people. The invasion was illegal.

7. Wait a minute. Did I miss something?
I thought Iraq belonged to Iraqis. Oh, that`s right. Bush is the "preemptive strike" president, the "feedom" bringer." The AWOL combat expert.

Here`s my answer....where`s Osama?
