But, just a word to the wise, whenever there is a current hot topic it ALWAYS gets most of the threads in DU. Nothing new.

4. Hit alert on every thread

If enough people hit alert on every thread saying "combine these threads", eventually the mods will get tired of reading all the alerts and start combining the threads.
