It is so important to prevent Alito from acending to the court.

The Jose Padilla "enemy combatant" case will soon be sent to the court and it is this case that if ruled in Bush's favor will validate and create the precident for Bush's final power grab.

If Bush is allowed to declare US citizen's enemy combatants, hold them incommunicado , extract evidence through extrodinary means including torture (rendition) and use that evidence in a criminal trial then our right to due process as citizens is effectivly gone.

This will render Miranda useless. The President will make his own laws and render justice.

Padilla was held for years without access to council and the administration sat on the case until the supreme court came into play and the appropriate new right wing judges could be appointed.

What happens in the next few hours effects us all.

Don't let America down. So many do not know the implications of what is being done to this country.
