Allow me to take a moment of your time to discuss a matter of utmost importance to our Country.
A United States Representative serves for 2 years at a time
A Senator serves 6 years at a time
A President serves for 4 years at a time
All these roles wield great authority, but they are limited in time so that they may represent a truer reflection of the Will of the People.
A Supreme Court Justice serves for Life.
They make decisions for this People of the United States across generations. Because of this extended and extremely powerful role in directing the course of our Nation, a Supreme Court Justice must meet the highest standard. This is why a Justice is not elected: they are to be untouched by political influence. The Constitution makes it the duty of the President and the Senate to choose the best person for this position. They are expected to be thorough, deliberate and honest in their nomination.
So I ask you this now, Is Samuel Alito truly worthy of being a member of the Supreme Court?
Is he untouched by Political agenda or influence?
Will he actively protect the Constitution and the Checks and Balances it intends or will he seek to dilute them?
Will he actively protect the broad civil rights of the People of the United States or will he revoke them?
If we were ever to meet, could you look me in the eyes and tell me without a doubt he is the best man for the job?
The People of the United States of America deserve no less than this in their future leaders.

The next member of the Supreme Court could tilt the Scales of Justice to the Right, to the Left, or they could actually Balance them. Isn’t that truly the best solution?
I ask you as my representative in a government of the People for the People:Please join with John Kerry in a Filibuster against this nomination. Samuel Alito has not proven himself worthy of this high position. In fact, through his actions in the past and present, he has cast severe doubts as to his credibility and motivations. He should not be making decisions for our United States.
You have the support of the People in this effort. Be our voice in saying “America deserves better”
Thank you for your time.
