11. I hope so. At least he didn't say this
Amoroso: Let me ask you now that we're together. I was under the impression, OK, and I told Howard what we were willing to pay, and I went out, I got the $50,000. OK? So what you're telling me, OK, you're telling me that that's not what you know....

Murtha: I'm not interested.

Amoroso: OK.

Murtha: At this point, you know, we do business together for a while. Maybe I'll be interested and maybe I won't.... Right now, I'm not interested in those other things. Now, I won't say that some day, you know, I, if you made an offer, it may be I would change my mind some day.

13. If he opposes a pullout, he opposes the troops, Iraqis, and international law.
Why support a war of aggression?

“a precipitous withdrawal of American forces in Iraq could lead to disaster, spawning a civil war, fostering a haven for terrorists and damaging our nation's security and credibility.” --hoyer, still wants to stay the course.... with better managment.

Saying "He opposes the troops" makes you no better than a Republican. If that's the company you want to keep by making assinine statements like that, that's your problem.

17. Stop Smearing Dems
It's insane to say he "opposes the troops". That sort of bullshit is insane. If you disagree w/ his policy positions, fine, but that sort of rhetoric makes you no better than a Republican.

18. Troops die when old men support illegal war. That is just the way it is.
I can't change that.

I do think Hoyer will vote for full-funding for Veterans. The fact remains, more troops will be wounded, more troops will be killed, more troops will be sent to fight for a lie, as long as people like hoyer and bush and all the rest support US troops in Iraq.

They have to come out Now.

20. I Agree They Have To Come Out Now, But
That sort of overblown rhetoric "he opposes the troops" serves no purpose except to smear and it puts you in bad company.

25. I think what you misunderstood in the first place is
hoyer opposes:
Troops out now. Read the full sentence. His policy is to oppose "premature withdrawal" or whatever shitty term he might use. I did not mean that opposes the individual troops.

But like i said, even he likes the troops, even if he funds all the VA hospitals and funds a thousand more, visits every wounded g.i.,
his policy creates grief for troops and their families. grief for iraqis. grief for the planet.

23. Wonderful! Thanks
This list is exactly the opposite of how Murtha voted.

Not that this is the only issue, but with so many new recruits who are anti-choice, this is a blast of fresh air.
