Simple Tips Make Huge Impact on Decreasing Greenhouse Gas Effects

December 12, 2006 — By Drive Neutral
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. — Forget feeling blue this winter; turn green instead by resolving to make 2007 the year you commit to personal CO2 reductions. It’s really quite simple to take responsibility for your carbon waste and make a positive impact on decreasing greenhouse gas emissions, according to the experts at DriveNeutral, a San Francisco-based nonprofit that offers drivers the opportunity to participate in market-based solutions to global climate change.

“If every person in the Bay Area alone made the effort to implement just a few of the CO2 reductions we suggest on www.DriveNeutral.org, it would have a significant impact on the global challenge to reduce greenhouse gas emissions,” said Jason Smith, founder and director of DriveNeutral. “These tips are useful, practical and can be readily applied by anyone, anywhere who is willing to make the commitment. We also suggest DriveNeutral verified carbon reduction certifications to offset the greenhouse gas emissions from the car you drive.”

DriveNeutral offers the easy-to-follow carbon reduction tips in a menu rated in three categories of climate efficiency. A Climate Friend is an easy way to be climate friendly; Climate Leaders might take a bit more effort, but feel that it’s worth it; a Climate Hero category indicates tips you might only do once a year but that make a huge difference.

2. CF - Climate Friendly - Compact Fluorescent.

Long, long time ago I switched to only CF light bulbs. If everyone did, something like a 20% reduction in electric energy. That's a lot of CO2 producing natural gas fired electric plants.

3. A resolution
Until someone hauls Shitforbrains out of the whitehouse in handcuffs I will proceed to vehemently deny global warming is caused by my car and not at least in part by this
http://www.haarp.net/
It's not that I lack concern for the general wellfare of the world, it's just that I am an American and as such have been feed bullshit for so long nobody has any credibility whatsoever.
True we may alter the climate and all starve to death but it's much more likely that Chimpy would nuke a city and blame in on the "terraists", just to declare martial law.
First things first.

4. Uh...right. Have you looked at some of "Dr. Nick Begich"'s other stuff ?

This guy is a fringe wacko, with just enough knowledge of scientific terminology to toss in a few buzzwords to convince the unwary. I first found out about him when I came across http://www.tachyon-partners.com/Member/PersonalWebPages/Pages/pwp0.asp?MemberID=3278&DISTID=alliswell&PGDID=0 while searching the Web. His own Web page is at http://www.earthpulse.com/ . Lots of things for sale, most claiming unprovable health benefits, all claiming to be 'new' or 'suppressed' science. Check the prices, and note the legal disclaimers! FWIW, his email is DrNick@alaska.net. Be sure to say "Hi, Doctor Nick!", and expect the response "Hi, everybody!". (He **is** an MD -- not a scientist.)

Item Catalog

Tachyonized Water 32 oz.

Details: TW-32 draws life-force into every cell of your body.

Tachyonized Water has been filtered through a 4-stage reverse Osmosis filter and purification system and then put through the Tachyonization process. This water then becomes a carrier for tachyon and draws life-force energy to every cell in your body. The water is to be taken sublingually (under the tongue) and between meals. Squirt it into your mouth and hold for 20 seconds before swallowing. This allows for rapid absorption into every cell through the mucous membranes.

The most important action of Tachyonized Water is to un-clump the red blood cells that have become congealed. This is important because the red blood cells carry oxygen, which is vital to healthy functioning of the whole body. If the red blood cells are clumped together there is less oxygen available for vital functions and a higher risk of heart attack and stroke.

Be careful not to touch the dropper to your mouth and do not drink out of the bottle. This water is pure life-force energy and anything that gets into it will grow! Especially mouth bacteria. If you do touch the dropper to any part of your mouth wash it off with soap and water and rinse well.

INGREDIENTS:
Purified water.

ACTION:
Tachyonized Water is a very important product. It draws life-force energy to every cell in your body. It bypasses the blood-brain barrier, transforming your body into a super conductor of life force energy, which is a key to radiant health and longevity. The increased life force allows your body to begin a physical and emotional detoxification. As your body clears and balances, it becomes an enhanced tachyon antenna.

POTENTIAL USES:
Because of its effectiveness, Tachyonized Water can be used for all issues.

SIZES:
Tachyonized Water comes in 4 sizes:
2oz (60ml) which contains about 1,050 drops. Comes with a dropper.
4oz (120ml) which contains about 2,100 drops. Comes with a dropper.
16oz (480ml) which contains about 8,400 drops. Does not come with a dropper.
32oz (960ml) which contains about 16,800 drops. Does not come with a dropper.

DOSAGE:
It is important that detoxification be slow enough to be comfortable. It is suggested to begin with 5 drops two to three times a day, between meals. Many individuals take 15 to 30 drops, or more, three times per day for maintenance. Hold under the tongue for 20 seconds before swallowing.

CONTRAINDICATIONS AND CAUTIONS:
None

OTHER VALUABLE TACHYONIZED PRODUCTS:
CZ-1 Tachyonized Fizz-C
BG-4 Tachyonized Blue-Green Algae
GM-146 Tachyonized Green-Matrix
ST-200 Tachyonized Spirulina

10. Excellent example
of American thinking. Obviously this man must be a total loon and therefore everything he says must be complete crap.
Yes, we can do more to slow this problem but "anwers" will come in unjust and unequal proportions.
Of course the little guy will get crushed underneath this as gas goes to ten dollars a gallon.
Globocorp naturally will be allowed to continue completely unfettered in their boneheaded scheme of shipping things five times around the globe before it even becomes a product.
Those who can afford it will still have internet enabled cell phones with custom ring tones while the rest of use a forces into crowded high density living. They have much more sadistic plans for this global warming theme.

11. Excellent example of conspiracy nut thinking. Blame an esoteric research project...
when the real cause is perfectly well known and understood, and thousands of scientists around the world agree on both the effect and its causes, and even politicians and businesses are finally acknowledging the reality of it.

There's no logical argument behind the claim that HAARP has anything whatever to do with global warming. Global warming is due to greenhouse gases like CO2 and methane that scatter infrared radiation and slow its escape from Earth (or Venus, where the "Greenhouse Effect" was first noted, or any other planet with an atmosphere, none of which can be blamed on HAARP). The effect is caused by GHG's wherever they are in the atmosphere, but since air pressure is highest at low altitude, most of the scattering is due to the lower atmosphere. HAARP http://www.haarp.alaska.edu/haarp/emsafe.html involves study of the ionosphere, an exceedingly thin portion of the atmosphere beginning more than 35 miles up. Even the ozone layer lies below that. If it didn't affect radio communications occasionally, we wouldn't even know it exists.

Begich's stuff is crap, but not because he's the one saying it. That's not how science works. It's because he only uses the terms found in real science, while totally abandoning the methods of critical inquiry and logical consistency that make science science.

Of course, if you really want to put your bets on Dr. Nick, just shell out $72.50 for that bottle of "Tachyonized water" and see what it does for you. Certainly the claims are compelling!

http://www.haarp.alaska.edu/haarp/tech.html
During active ionospheric research, the signal generated by the transmitter system is delivered to the antenna array, transmitted in an upward direction, and is partially absorbed, at an altitude between 100 to 350 km (depending on operating frequency), in a small volume a few hundred meters thick and a few tens of kilometers in diameter over the site. The intensity of the HF signal in the ionosphere is less than 3 microwatts per cm2, tens of thousands of times less than the Sun's natural electromagnetic radiation reaching the earth and hundreds of times less than even the normal random variations in intensity of the Sun's natural ultraviolet (UV) energy which creates the ionosphere. The small effects that are produced, however, can be observed with the sensitive scientific instruments installed at the HAARP facility and these observations can provide new information about the dynamics of plasmas and new insight into the processes of solar-terrestrial interactions.

I am sure you will get undying support from "shitforbrains" in your claims that global warming is not caused by your car if I understood you

8. I'm not saying global warming
is not caused by my car but I am also not giving up my car, my lawnmower, the two ATVs and my chainsaw.

6. Thanks for posting this. I've been looking for some tips I
could use personally to help with global warming. I always feel guilty because I feel like I'm not doing enough. I have a Toyota Corolla that gets 40 mpg and I don't drive all that much. I use all compact flurescents and I buy energy star appliances. But I don't do enough recycling, and I'm trying to compost but pretty much failing at it (and that's not easy!).

It's good to see a list of tips I can browse to see what I might be able to add to my "green" living to help global warming.
