Annexing Khuzestan; battle-plans for Iran... nukes anyone?
http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article11743.htm

Bush has no intention of occupying Iran. Rather, the goal is to destroy major weapons-sites, destabilize the regime, and occupy a sliver of land on the Iraqi border that contains 90% of Iran’s oil wealth. Ultimately, Washington will aim to replace the Mullahs with American-friendly clients who can police their own people and fabricate the appearance of representative government. But, that will have to wait. For now, the administration must prevent the incipient Iran bourse (oil-exchange) from opening in March and precipitating a global sell-off of the debt-ridden dollar. There have many fine articles written about the proposed “euro-based” bourse and the devastating effects it will have on the greenback. The best of these are “Petrodollar Warfare: Oil, Iraq and the Future of the Dollar” by William R. Clark, and “The Proposed Oil Bourse” by Krassimir Petrov, Ph.D.

The bottom line on the bourse is this; the dollar is underwritten by a national debt that now exceeds $8 trillion dollars and trade deficits that surpass $600 billion per year. That means that the greenback is the greatest swindle in the history of mankind. It’s utterly worthless. The only thing that keeps the dollar afloat is that oil is traded exclusively in greenbacks rather than some other currency. If Iran is able to smash that monopoly by trading in petro-euros then the world’s central banks will dump the greenback overnight, sending markets crashing and the US economy into a downward spiral.

The Bush administration has no intention of allowing that to take place. In fact, as the tax-cuts and the budget deficits indicate, the Bush cabal fully intends to perpetuate the system that trades worthless dollars for valuable commodities, labor, and resources. As long as the oil market is married to the dollar, this system of global indentured servitude will continue.

1. If we do something so stupid, destabilizing, and destructive as that, the
world's going to dump the Dollar all the more quickly than it would barrel-by-barrel at the Tehran Oil Bourse.

The logic of self-preservation tells me that Wall Street ain't going to let a war with Iran happen.

3. something BIG is happening or about to happen....
I am sick and tired of the bush crime family. While I don't particularly like Iran I like anyone who thumbs their nose at the crime family. Hell, we may have yet another war but not because we are in danger but to advance PNAC,.. PNAC indeed was born on 911.
From what I understand after reading their agenda I read it as this, a friendly pro-western nations from
Lebanon (friendly) through Syria (up next) Iraq (we own) Iran (on deck) Afghanistan (we own) Pakistan (friendly) India (friendly) to the doorstep of China where we could spy and monitor the Chinese, and to keep the wheels of PNAC greased the bush crime family made Iraq, the Centerpiece on the Global War for Natural Resources, not terror.

4. Also, consider water flowing to the Mediterranean, specifically through
Israel. If you can build oil pipelines, why not water from the melting Himalayas and as they melt, protect the purities and then try to find and control new ice-free routes through the mountains? There are some short term and long term objectives. The water to Israel is a real deal and in the works.

2. What sustains the dollar is
"the full faith and credit of The United States". Since we went off the gold standard, nothing backs our money but a promise. Remember when the euro was all the rage? Well, since the collapse of the Europe Economic Union, money flowed back to the US Dollar. Over time, we have the strongest economy and we pay our debtors.

exactly matching scenario - it is a general parallel that makes you think on a new level about what is going on. Our world is not just sitting at a keyboard and being outraged or depressed about the latest Dick and Don doings. There are two realities here. We type based on what comes out of an occasional interview with a Richard Clarke or a posting about or from Sybil or what is happening to Chavez - stuff that it in the 'news'. The other reality that Dick and Don deal in with their Pentagon and corporate friends is way above our little heads. This movie will raise you up a notch or two. It will open up your imagination to think about how it might work on their levels and their reality. We are small potatos. Dick and Don DON'T BELIEVE that they work for us. The CEO's KNOW that they don't work for us.
