Any See fmr Sen. Alan Simpson on Hardball Touting Surge as Part of Iraq Study Group Plan
Basically said 'Surge' was one of the recommendations of the Iraq Study Group plan.

:grr:

We are seeing a preview of the GOP spin coming on Thursday and after the speech.

4. No doubt about it.
Simpson has been Lord Vader's pal for 45 years. Those strings attached to Simpson's arms and legs were being manipulated by Elmer Cheney and the rest of the neocons.

Let me guess: Tweety didn't challenge Simpson's assertion, right?

5. call it what you want - but it still leaves a few questions
- What's the mission?

- What's the objective?

- What's the job?

so far the method has been defined, but what do we apply it towards? It's like buying tires for a car when you don't have a car.

8. You are so right radfringe
What's the use of a surge when we don't know what the objective is? Maybe they plan to roll the tires around like toys? The only purpose our troops serve now is as targets.

12. Great Point
It's like deciding to drive somewhere but without knowing where and why. We've got a solution but we haven't defined the problem!

7. alan simpson is real pitiful.
not long after he left the senate (or was kicked out) there was a funeral in washington, or new york, or massachussetts for a big name political figure that the bushes were attending ... (i am not sure if he had been invited to the funeral or not) anyhow, as the bushes (the elder bushes) were getting out of their limousine to attend this funeral, alan simpson was coming up on the sidewalk with armloads of brown bags from the purchases he had made. the minute he saw the bushes he put his brown bags on the sidewalk and went up to the bushes to kiss their ... hands ... the scene reminded me of a beggar kissing up to a richman for a few pennies. it was pathetically pitiful and alan simpson is a pitiful figure who can, nevertheless, do a great deal of harm.

Looks like another Repug has seen the light.
