Rasmussen: Bush's Post Fib-Fest Approval Edges Lower
From a bizarrely inflated 50% the day before the Hour Of Lies to 47% today.

I know Rasmussen ain't worth much, but this would seem to be the first indication that the Little President didn't fool anyone very much Tuesday night. If what he said had resonated with the citizens, wouldn't Rasmussen be more than eager to show it?

1. Yeah, there was a flush of excitement and approval
for about six hours after that speech because Stupid didn't stomp on his tongue or fall off the podium into Karen Huge's lap or even give the finger to the cameras. The bar is set that low for that drooling idiot by people who look at form and ignore content.

However, after that first 6 hours, content as well as form started to sink in and the content was found to be hideously lacking.

Every time this fool shows up from now on, expect a slight drop in approval. There's only so much sheer incompetence even a twittering sycophant can take.

2. If I Had More Compassion For Shrub, I Might Feel Sad
If I had more compassion for Buckaroo Bush, I might feel sad for him watching his approval ratings head lower and lower and lower. But almost all of my compassion was exhausted by early 2002.

Team Shrub, with Buckaroo Bush at its head, have made their own beds. I hope to watch them get to sleep in them.

4. Even supporters
are reduced to defending him by saying only, "But he didn't drool"

7. Isn't that like the first time a President has
actually fallen after a SOTU address? It's usually a pretty reliable bounce for the President, even if polls fall later. It sounds like people aren't even really listening to him anymore.
