Senator Pat (Roberts) of Kansas Sure Scared the Crap Out of Me
Edited on Thu Feb-02-06 11:09 AM by The Whiskey Priest
He’s chairing a hearing on Threats and Intelligence on Cspan. His opening remarks he recounted why we need to be vigilant and let Bush do what he needs to do to keep the terrorist from getting us. What really scared me was that he hadn’t heard, didn’t know or forgot that there has been a major terrorist attack that occurred after 9/11.

Remember the ANTHRAX ATTACK you dumbass! Damn near shut down the postal service, you should remember the event that was when everyone in Congress was running like rabbits….that attack killed 7 or 8 people. More important was the fact that the whole nation was afraid to open their mail…special sections were set up to handle all mail…that was a terrorist attack, so f**k face get your facts correct, I know you want to make it seem as if Bush the Warrior King is keeping us all safe, but don’t torture history in the pursuit of that fantasy.

1. I'm thinking that the anthrax scare
was a way to get people into Congressional offices so they could plant listening devices?

2. Oh - there have ben PLENTY of Attacks...
Don't forget the kid who flew his Cessna into the Bank of America building in Florida, the Smiley Face mail box bomber, the DC Sniper, the Al Air shooter in L.A., and the muslim suicide bomber under the bleachers at Oklahoma University.

Do a google search: all of these attacks were dismissed by the authorities as ISOLATED.

Which, I guess, since they didn't all happen at the same time, they must not count as terrorist attacks. Do a Google search, and look 'em all up - they all happened.

13. You forgot Flight 587 that exploded and crashed into Queens.
NTSB swore it was "tail failure."

3. The very existence of Senator Pat scares the crap out of me.
He has done a great deal to help the administration commit and cover up various crimes. He deserves to be kicked out of office for his obstructionism alone. He keeps a lower profile than Brownback (the other Kansas senator), but he's doing a great deal of damage behind the scenes.

11. Makes you ask...
What the fuck IS wrong with Kansas?

I (foolishly, I guess) like to think of Kansas as a place with good-natured, down-to-earth people with midwestern values. Yet they elect these whackjob theocrats.

12. Same thing is happening in many states now. Many of those
good-natured, down-to-earth people are due for a rude awakening soon when they find out that their elected officials aren't looking out for their best interests after all.

4. Pat Roberts is a liar and tool of the Bush Administration
He spends probably 70% OBSTRUCTING investigations of Bush's manipulation of intel in run-up to war, plame leak, etc etc.

6. What's more
They all go on about Superhero Bush keeping us safe, but Bin Laden's last tape said basically that the reason there haven't been any other attacks (short of the anthrax attack) is because he hasn't done any!
