Is it true or false that a person was kicked out of a Clinton SOTU?
Edited on Thu Feb-02-06 07:28 PM by Dr Fate
I've heard this occurred.

Is it true?

If so, was it over a T-shirt or what? Was the guy shouting or unfurling a banner or what?

Is this true that a person was kicked out of a Clinton SOTU? If so, anyone have details or a link?

1. What credible source are YOU quoting in publishing this to 80,000 DUers?
Did you just pull this out of thin air or what? If so, you're very irresponsible. I mean, did this come to you in a dream? And if it's not a credible source, why spread such a story?

If it is not true, then even better.

I edited the title to adress your valid concern.

4. The story occurred in Clinton's Impeachment Trial, not SOTU.
and the chamber becomes a courtroom during an impeachment trial.

5. the ONLY link I can find is at Drudge and Freerepublic.
I can find other links discussing it, and someone saying there USED to be a link at NYDAILYNEWS, but its no longer available (riiiiiight)

this sounds parlockian, but even if true, they were different circumstances. The story is he wore something like "clinton sucks", during the impeachment trial and was merely ejected.

a trial and a speech seem to me to be different arenas.

at any rate, since its so hard to find actual info on this, except at freerepublic *shudder*, I'd file this under "desperate attempt to distract from real issue with unrelated nonanalogous incident".

and, btw, I hope I never do another google search that lands me at freerepublic.

10. Richard LLamas - during the Impeachment trial in Senate
<snip>
For the first time since the trial began on Jan. 13, the decorum of the Senate was pierced by the outside world. The polls say most Americans want a final vote taken on impeachment and the trial brought to an end. Richard Llamas, 48, a local man, is apparently one of them.

Late in the day, as the senators were voting on their final procedural dispute, Llamas stood up from his gallery seat and shouted, "Good God almighty, take the vote and get it over with!" His voice rang through the chamber. Capitol Police rushed in, took him under each arm and hustled him away.
