Senate is currently voting on 70 BILLION dollar TAX CUT BILL.
These are tax cuts that are due to expire, enacted by bush* in 2003. Jeez, they just cut medicare and bushco wants 70 BILLION more for Iraq and now they want to extend the tax cuts. I guess as long as the people let them get away with this shit, they will.

1. How ironic
We are becoming the former USSR. No money for nothing but war.

3. How long do you think before we disband the states?
I hope we can get fair warning so we can move to avoid the rush.

2. Each peckerhead who votes for this
should either provide an itemized list of $70 billion in specific government spending they wish to slash or resign immediately.

6. I'm aware of that.
It just drives me nuts when I hear those pandering knuckledraggers whine "taxes are too high". News flash: taxes pay for shit. If one claims taxes are too high, that means one believes we are paying for too much shit, which means that one should have very precise ideas on what shit it is that we are paying too much on. But these right wing extremists NEVER do this. They always brashly impose their giant tax breaks on the rich, pay off the middle class by cutting a few bucks off their annual taxes, then later on in a cowardly fashion slash students loans and other important social programs in a half-assed attempt at damage control.

Saying "I'm for tax cuts" either means:
a. "I'm for larger deficits" or
b. "I'm for cutting government services".

All I'm advocating is that these assholes cut the "tax relief" demagoguery and be honest. On a superficial level support of tax cuts sounds good, but the equivalent statements listed above aren't necessarily so appealing.
