"9/11 changed everything" ... no, it did NOT change the Constitution

The Constitution still says we are entitled to rights.

If you don't like that, then GET OVER IT.

1. Ding, ding, ding! We have a winning Democratic soundbite here.
Everyone should repeat this over and over again to the media and to as many Republicans as possible.

2. That's right "The Constitution Changed Everything"
and the Bill of Rights made sure of that.

10. The sound bite that kills me
Randi keeps playing *asshat saying about FISA "that was 197x. This is 2006." What does that say for a document written toward the end of the 18th Century? Does that make the Constitution invalid?

13. It changed our reputation around the world, that's for sure
We went from a nation conceived and born during the Enlightenment, dedicated to reason, scientific theory, and the quest for truth, to a nation that avoids the truth at all costs, even when that avoidance imperils the inalienable rights and very lives of people both home and abroad.

17. Fourth Amendment
The fact we are fighting wars in Afghanistan and Iraq doesn't alter the simple requirements of the Fourth Amendment to the Constitution as it only deals with domestic searches

18. That little ditty
"9-11 changed everything" is the most wussified thing I've ever heard Americans chant in unison.

I'm embarrassed and ashamed for my country everytime I hear someone say it. They have let the terrorists scare them into changing everything! Into giving up our rights and living in a state of fear.

I thought that was just what the terrorists wanted. :puke:
