Women complain of naked man attacking cars

(2/03/06 - WITTENBERG, WI) - Authorities had no trouble locating the suspect after getting a call about a pedestrian attacking two moving cars. He was the one with no clothes.

The Shawano County Sheriff's Department received a complaint Thursday morning after a woman driving on the Wittenberg-Birnamwood Townline Road encountered a naked man walking in the road.

As she drove around him, he charged the vehicle, hit the right fender and jumped on the hood, smashing the windshield and breaking off the passenger-side mirror, authorities said.

He slid off and was lying on the road but got up and charged a second vehicle as it approached, damaging its fender.

He then opened the door, climbed in the vehicle and sat down, authorities said.

Of course they're not all women, but a few of them are. You know the type, one I knew years ago called the police to complain about some poor guy pulled over and obviously urinating behind an inadequate bush. He was black and Jim Crow was still in force in the south, so the poor guy probably ran out of attractive alternatives. To say I was angry at her for that is a great understatement. I sincerely hope the cops blew it off.

However, naked with your thumb out is a little different, and might signal mental illness needing attention. Since the cops are now the default mental health system (since Big Insurance and the gummint both abandoned us), they're the ones to get the call.

12. I would think it would be a rather shocking experience

You are driving along minding your business and all of a sudden a naked man runs into your car. It would be completely unexpected. The man damages your car. He could be hurt. He could be completely insane. (Why would someone be running around naked in February?) Of course, people have different comforts and attitudes towards nudity, but I think that regardless that it would be a scary experience.

My point was that it wasn't a mere "complaint"; this was an assault from a potential rapist, carjacker, or drug-crazed, murderous psychopath, and when the women called the cops, they were simply "filing a complaint" about a nuisance apparently.

It's little things like this that drive me crazy. Yes, in legalese, the word "complain" is accurate, and surely not meant to minimize the incident. Except that it would have been just as easy (and logical) for ABC to write "Women report naked man attacking cars" or better yet, "Women attacked by naked man while driving."

two different articles about two different incidents. One referred to a female victim as a 22 year old GIRL. The second (don't remember what it was about) spoke about about a 17 year old MAN.

Even though it isn't as cold of a January as usual, it is still too cold to run around naked. Then there is the issue of purposely running into moving cars.
Of course, I heard about a case of a woman running out in front of moving cars to get attention.
If you want attention, do it in a way that doesn't scare other people so much.

NORTH BEND, Wash. -- A man who owned three McDonald's fast-food franchises crashed his truck on Interstate 90 early Wednesday, then got out, took his clothes off and stood in a traffic lane, where he was run over and killed.

Brett T. Arnes, 35, of Ellensburg, crashed his red pickup at about 4 a.m. just west of Snoqualmie Pass, the State Patrol said in a news release. The westbound car crossed the median and the eastbound lanes before stopping against a guardrail.

Arnes then took off his clothes and stood in the second eastbound lane, the State Patrol said. A white pickup ran him over.

22. When a naked woman knocked on the door

of a house in Kansas on a snowy winter night a few years ago, it turned out she had been shot in the head and was the only survivor of the "Witchita Massacre" for which two men are currently on death row.

The woman and four friends were kidnapped at gunpoint, robbed, raped and abused all night and then finally driven to a high school football field where they knelt in the snow and were each shot once in the head and then run over.
